Do we also have common applicants of WWS? It seems that WWS has sent accepted, waitlisted and rejected emails by now. Any one of you heard back? Just confirming!!

This is what SIPA responded to me just 3-4 days ago- “Thank you for your message. When a decision has been made, your application portal will reflect the decision. You should expect to hear back by mid-March.”

@Wooooooo @scalmanac @HopefulMPA Congrats once again guys. I would love to read a couple of lines of the acceptance emails, if you don't mind. I always wondered how WWS/HKS kind of institutes convey acceptance to the applicants. I am not sure if I will get such email or not, so asking you for the same. Only if you don't mind and please don't share the portion which includes any personal/financial details.. Pls don't take this otherwise.

It was communicated to us also that final placement decision will be communicated by Mid-April. But at least I received information about result. I don't find a logic why results shouldn't be conveyed.

I sincerely wish this to be true!! But I have seen many Fulbrighters being rejected from Ivy league colleges and many more couldn't attend in lack of supplementary funding. HKS and other top colleges claim not to have been influenced by Fulbright selection and they assess the application on its own merit. Most unfortunately, we are not considered favourably for FinAid because we already have some arrangement in terms of this fellowship.

I am not sure about that. So far, I am only told that my results will be intimated by local commission. I don't know if I can choose the course or not. But, if (a big if) I have adequate financial resources to bridge the gap-funding, then they should allow me to select my choice of course. But as I said, I am not sure. I will find it out in a month or so.

They want full control over the process. So, you cannot accept or reject any offer without their intermediation.

Still, I am as excited as all of you. Despite knowing the fact that I cannot know the results when it gets announced, while you guys can. Camaraderie!!

We don't have login credentials!! It was shared during the application process to complete the form. Afterwards, the password has been changed.

Now imagine my condition. Even if the results are announced today, it will go to IIE and not me. They will then inform Fulbright commission of my country. Depending on timezone, it usually happens next-day. The entire process could possibly take 2-3 days.Commission in return will send me an email. Just to give a perspective, my 'UMichigan' acceptance was timed at 5:14 pm on Friday and I received it on Wednesday (for intervening weekends and a public holiday in my country). So, while I am sharing the anxiety of all of you to wait for the results, I will come to know it only on Monday or Tuesday. That's like hanging from the rope and waiting to die. God save me meanwhile!!

Congratulations to all the friends who are selected. All the best to those who are waiting. May I request the successful candidates to post the results on https://www.thegradcafe.com/survey/ so that next-year candidates have idea about when (date and time) the result was emailed. It will be helpful to them.

On a separate thread of WWS, it is said that WWS has sent the informal acceptance emails. Two of the participants have posted about it..

I can think of another reason for delay. It may be a random one but still read like a fiction!! Usually, HKS has always released the result at last in the given league of great institutions including WWS, SIPA, UC Berkeley etc. It gives HKS a reputation like show stopper. This year, HKS continued the blog series in routine manner (not admitted, waitlisted etc) in anticipation that SIPA and WWS would release their results on time. Since, for some reason, results of SIPA and WWS are delayed so HKS could be just on ‘wait-and-watch’ mode. Operating in that mode, HKS posted a random blog yesterday expecting that results of these institutes would come. But that hasn’t happened so today a new blog which intends to calm our nerves.

Yes. But in given context, we can’t be sure of anything. Usually, WWS sends informal (not premature ? ) emails to selected candidates specifying that formal acceptance will be released in a day or two.

Anyways, I couldn’t understand the logic of recent blog. They just had to post a “copy and paste” kind of ADMITTED category blog. This would have taken lesser time then writing those lines in recent blog. Admitted blog could have given them a day or so before final release. Do they want to buy more time and so delaying the admitted blog? What they are upto? Usually, at this time, everything is already in place and they just conduct dry run at their end to see if everything is working seamlessly.. This blog could be an indication of that status.

Same here, but I am using my cell phone rather.. I think that HKS also realises that they have kind of delayed the process and hence their recent blog is to pacify the anxious souls like us. I am still hopeful that it won’t go into next week.

I still believe that it shouldn't be stretched to next week. Keep hopes alive. Don't want to spend weekends speculating about the uncertainty. Today is definitely crucial and we must get some news, hopefully positive from HKS and/or other universities/colleges. Having said so, we shouldn't be discounting the fact that there is definitely a delay in results of all concerned varsities. Perhaps the situations emanating from COVID-19 is enhancing 'error term' in our prediction model!!

I think HKS is also monitoring this forum and playing with us!! ?? I also agree that two posts have never come on same date. At this point, if they want to share alumni news then they shouldn’t release another post which is more awaited. The post of alumni will loose its significance. Having said so, I still think they should release result tomorrow because that way HKS gets some extra time to release FinAid results. It keeps sanity of those who are selected (but not funded) in check. Otherwise, just think that you get selected for your dream program and still not being funded. You will not be sure how to react!! So, unless HKS team wants to work on weekends, they must release admission results tomorrow and FinAid day-after. This year, a few creative blogs have come up from HKS, and few routine ones dropped (like blog with letter heads and pens in sight). Could it be possible that HKS combines “Admitted category” and “status update” blog together? Or, as already discussed, another blog today, may be later in the day? Or, Two separate blogs tomorrow? With HKS everything is possible!! All the best guys!!

The email from SIPA, which I saw, was sent at around 5:30-6:00 pm New York Time. I think that is the regular time. All decisions most likely are announced towards evening.

I think MIA/MPA results come together. The email I saw was sent around 6 PM, so yes, probably.
