  1. Could you rename it, please?
  2. Hi! It seems that this is the only forum of HKS active so far, this year. And now, we have mixed group of MPP, MPA, MC/MPA and MPA/ID applicants. Will it be possible for you to rename the group to "Harvard Kennedy 2020" instead of "Harvard Kennedy MPP 2020"? Give it a thought.
  3. Good that we’ve few invites in our group. The jinx is finally broken. Congratulations to the interviewees. I will still like to believe that our finalists are getting positive admission results.
  4. Had you raised any query, or was it generic? I have also applied to PEPG. Unfortunately, for me, I don't have access to my given email ID because I have received Fulbright fellowship and all my updates are routed through Fulbright/IIE office in New York.
  5. Very soothing to read!! Thanks
  6. They have also mentioned that- “If you applied to other scholarships, you will find out about the outcome of those decisions at around the same time as your admission decision, which is typically mid-March”.
  7. HKS FinAid responded to my query.
  8. An email from HKS FinAid team: “CPL has already selected finalists to be interviewed for their fellowships, so if you have not heard from them, regretfully it means that you were not selected as a finalist“.
  9. True. Last year’s annual report of CPL specifies that the most famous Dubin fellowship was given to only about 10 people, while an even more selective Gleitsman Fellowship was given to 5-6 stellar candidates only. Laterally, Presidents Awards and Kennedy scholarships are also extremely limited and rare. Not sure of no. of Public Service Fellowships awarded each year, but that too shouldn’t be more.
  10. My thoughts are informed by seeing numerous blogposts on previous years HKS fors on gradcafe. I haven’t come across a singe case where a shortlisted interviewee of CPL fellowship wasn’t offered admission. Plus, I also read on CPL website that they consult AdComs before finalising interview shorlists. So, based on these two factors, I think that CPL interviewees stand better chance of getting finally selected also.
  11. Yes, that's absolutely correct. But one will be accorded such fellowships only after being interviewed ?. So this makes 'today' an important day. Besides, those receiving email invites for CPL fellowships are considered strong candidates for receiving final admission offer as well. So, irrespective of your fellowship result, if you receive an email invite, then it is likely that your admission result would be favorable. That been said, even if we don't get email today, it is not the end of our admission prospects at HKS. CPL fellowships are far more competitive than HKS admission itself. So let's be optimistic for today and beyond.
  12. For HKS, given their selectivity in fellowships, the decision of fellowship results are actually more important than admission-result itself. ? Unless, of course, you have funding support from elsewhere. So, Good luck to everyone.
  13. I have tracked HKS blogs and I think this year results will be out on March 12, 2020. This date checks all 2-3 parameters like 100th day, Thursday, 22 and 25 days before MPA/MPP and MPA/ID orientation. Thursday is important to make FinAid results announced by friday (no announcements on weekends). Additionally, it is also said that results will be announced not later than Mid-March, i.e. March 15, 2020 (Sunday). So, Technically, 12th March is the only possible day unless HKS wants to change the rules!!
  14. I think the results this year will be announced on March 12, 2020. Above, is a short tracking of different blogs posted by HKS admissions chair during last three years.
  15. Hello everyone! I am a Fulbright fellow from India for academic session 2020-21. Got selected this year in late August. Have taken GRE (324; Quant-169) and TOEFL (110) and applied for Masters in Harvard Kennedy, Princeton, Columbia and Uni of Michigan.

My State Government requested RBI Governor to send me on deputation as Director (Education). During six months under this assignment, I have submitted 50-points reform agenda for the State of Uttar Pradesh which has population of 230 million people and more than 100000 schools. I also founded a social responsibility club in IIM (MBA days) to fund the education of tribal children. I have also worked extensively for polio-prevention and bringing vulnerable sex-workers into mainstream society. Strengths: Fulbright Fellow; Good academic record except undergrad (was state topper during school-days, and goldmedalist in MBA); Good quant score in GRE; Rich diversity in experience; Strong commitment for serving the humanity at large Weaknesses: Poor Verbal score in GRE; Poor grades in undergrad LOR: Two references from Chief General Managers (respectably senior positions) in RBI and one recommendation from Director of my MBA college. (How competitive I am for admission and/or financial aid in HKS, WWS, SIPA and Ford?)

  19. Based on my profile, I would like to know the chances of getting selected for MPA-ID course at HKS and also the funding support. I already have Fulbright fellowship, but still I am short of about 60-70 K USD. As Fulbright requirement, I had to apply for four colleges. My choices are enlisted as under- 1. HKS (MPA/ID) 2. WWS (MPA) 3. SIPA, Columbia (MPA) 4. Ann Arbor, Univ of Michigan (MPP)
