I'm not on draft. What happened???

Thank you! And I'm not sure, it might depend on the school. I wouldn't read into it too much.

I'm pretty nervous too, with the silence from Florida and all. And draft is admin adding only. They're quite swamped with requests, especially with the pandemic. I wouldn't be surprised if it took two three weeks to get in. I'm not a fan of draft, or facebook for that matter, so I only know what others tell me.

How's everyone holding up today?

My BA came from a state school with horrible communication. One good thing that came out of that was a weird loophole where I didn't have to take any Gen Eds that I didn't take in Community College. They also had a clause that said it was up to the wonderful English department chair to determine how many credits I could transfer. Huehuehue, 82.

I don't know how I didn't see this post earlier, but I'm still in "No Decision" hell. I already know I'm getting rejected, my third recommender never came through with his letter. Also I'm not exactly enthused about Rutgers-Newark because no matter what I emailed them about, I got zero responses. Rutgers and Syracuse are on my shit list tbh.

Anyone in the silent U Florida boat? I'm just waiting for it. I just need confirmation that all I need to worry about is Maryland and potentially next year's plans.

Bruh, my recommender personally knows Jericho Brown and went to school with him. What on Earth is going on???

Hahahahaha Virginia Tech's decision letter told me that the reason for my rejection was that there wasn't enough spaces available. Damn lol.

According to UNO's website, Jericho Brown holds an MFA from there and he won a pulitzer so if that helps...

Y'know, if things don't work out with colleges/funding, I might apply to some PhD programs next year. I'm thinking both Creative writing PhDs and Folklore PhDs.

Thing is I don't see any poetry waitlists. Also this year has been really freaking weird. Maryland's waitlists coming after rejections, New Hampshire's acceptance of me weeks after other acceptances and waitlists, UNO accepting me without all my materials. I don't know what's going to happen.

Accepted to University of New Orleans! Funding info to come. I didn't even have the three required references, how the fuck did that happen???

I haven't heard from Florida, but I emailed them three weeks ago about a timeframe and no one got back to me.

Yeah, I suppose the vast majority of us word vomit on the internet. I'm hoping to do things outside of teaching as well. Being in the publishing industry sounds awesome to me, and at one point when I didn't know what the hell I was saying, I told my intro to creative writing prof that I wanted to be a literary agent. I still feel that now if I'm being honest.
