I wonder how long I'm gonna be in limbo with Maryland. Also where did Maryland's waitlists go???
-
I'm sorry, that's really really rough. I'm still in the dark with Maryland. But 2w is way better than I did last year, plus you got 5 more to go!
-
Draft usually takes a week or two to get approved. And my goodness, you're waiting on a lot of schools. I hope they come out soon!
-
In years past, Under Grad School Review hasn't been a good sign (they do the same thing at UNLV). For everyone's sake, I hope Maryland (and UNLV) stopped that shit because it's rude and upsetting.

I honestly hope Maryland keeps their promise to get notifications started this week. I'm dying over here. And speaking of dying, RIP my iPad Pro 2, you've had a short run, but it was fine. Welcome to the family Chromebook, please live longer than the iPad.

Michener rejections are up. REJECTED!!!! Lol

Hi friend! You’re on the creative writing forum, but the link below should help you find your way. https://forum.thegradcafe.com/forum/29-biology/ Biology and all its variations kick ass (I miss my genetic engineering days). I hope you get in somewhere awesome!

I hope we hear news on Monday. I’ll be out with my friends for a good portion of the day, but I’ll definitely be using Starbucks WiFi to check the websites.
-
...Try again next year? The more time you have to work on your writing that better you’ll be, then better chance you’ll land a fully funded offer. I know I didn’t want to consider it on my first round, but I did it this round.

Honestly, I’m really, really considering life factors in my decision. I’m glad I got into somewhere out of state where I can medically transition. Another things that’ll help make my decision is if I have enough of a stipend to live off campus. At NH I don’t, but I can live on campus at the rate of 8,570 dollars for an entire year.

Four of mine are out in some capacity, and the other one I care about is Maryland.

Guys, what the flying fuck is going on with the rest of the colleges? I haven’t heard from six of them still, how???
-
Roasted? Not sorry ?, you told us you were leaving hon ??

I’m still waiting on three journals. Colorado Review should give me an answer somewhere between the end of this month and the end of May at the latest. When I submitted to them as an undergrad they encouraged me to submit again. Although I have a new name, so they won’t recognize me.

I do plan to teach grad school someday (which would make me part of an adcom I suppose). Not all of the portals are useless, WashU rejections show up on the portal first.
-
That’s the one I’m at rn. It’s pending, not good or bad.
-
I hope so. Maryland would be awesome! Don’t mean to make you nervous, but did your portal ever update?
-
Damn, I also wanted to work with Michael Hofmann. Oh well, maybe Maryland will have better news. You also applied to Maryland yeah?
-
Hold up, the U Florida Poetry acceptance disappeared off Gradcafe. Hope, is that you?
-
Good job! I hope you get in
-
I hope you get some good news. I had a clean sweep last year, so you’re already doing good.
-
Hell yeah! Just realized you applied to Syracuse, Cornell, and VCU. Those three were my last year schools (along with Iowa, WashU, and UNLV.
-
There’s a part of me that’s really, really hoping the TAship or the writing assistant job comes through at UNH. Or I get into Maryland. I need answers.

I almost applied to Temple this round. I finished the app, all I had to do was pay, but I didn’t have the money for that and another program so I didn’t do it. Besides, I don’t want to stay in my own state, an hour and a half from where I live now.
