Update, I realized that I forgot to submit the second half of my TA application for UNH. They graciously let me send it to them today, so I’ll see if I can get off the TA waiting list.

This isn’t a drill, someone posted a poetry acceptance for Michener.

Huh, I wonder what’s happened to the poetry acceptances. They usually come out around the same time. Maybe the fiction committee really wanted to get their acceptances out.

It’s still really weird to me that no one on gradcafe posted a Michener acceptance. How many people on draft said anything about acceptances? And is it only fiction?

Update on Texas: Apparently the housing tab (between Financial Aid and Admission) on MyStatus is letting people apply for housing. I imagine everyone else has this too, just wanted to let you know that the housing thing is $50 if you want to apply.

I just realized something. Despite Texas being a winter nightmare right now, they’ve managed to stick to their promise of starting to contact before the end of February. Well done Michener. Also do any poetry people wanna do a zoom meeting? It doesn’t have to just be workshopping, it could also be talking about programs, or just a nice conversation about things that have nothing to do with poetry/grad school.

For all of us that have read (or vaguely remember) the beginning of this thread, do you ever wonder what happened to some of the users who randomly disappeared??? I thought of someone recently and messaged that user, but I’m sure there are many others. I hope everyone that left is okay. All of you that aren’t being horrible people (which is almost all of you) thank you for being here. I appreciate you, you help keep this community together.

I hope y’all are reporting instead of trying to reason with the troll. They’re going to do this regardless. Don’t waste your energy. You already have enough on your plate waiting for decisions. If you can’t identify the troll, and someone is being an ass, just leave them alone.

Wrong forum, but I would see if there’s a program coordinator or assistant or admissions person for the department who could give you some answers. Also the people on your forum could potentially give you more answers. What’s your PhD in?
