Exactly. One of the programs using that kind of system required WES transcript but they didn't send me the application confirmation though it shows 'submitted'. I sent an email to the admission office asking about the transcript and my application, then was told that my transcript has not been added to my application because the names are not exactly matched... So better double check the TOEFL GRE WES are all verified through their systems or emails

If anyone had to send WES or something verified transcript, remember to ask the schools you applied to confirm if they have received the WES transcript and added it into your application, otherwise your app will not be under review...

@mothgirl have you ever considered doing PhD in UK since you graduated from Oxford which makes you have more chances to get into local programs?

My mind is changing pretty fast lol, I reached out to a PI of interest and we scheduled a zoom meeting next week, and I think I am going to submit the application for this program which is due in November. And yeah I am also researching other schools and programs

Well as an international student you definitely have to apply some lower tier schools than those in your list Can also consider Columbia, MD Anderson, WUSTL, Cornell Ithca...
