Do you have any SLPA experience? If so, you could ask your supervising SLP or other SLPs who work with you to write you letters of recommendation.

Me! I received their call first and then received an email with intent to enroll documents a few hours later! Congratulations! -
Emerson Interview
bilingualspeechlife replied to powel200's topic in Speech-Language Pathology Forum
I applied early, and was asked to interview the next day. My friend submitted her application by the deadline and was not asked to interview until 3 weeks after submitting. I think it just depends on when you submitted! -
I was accepted to Baylor. I heard from my admissions counselor on Tuesday and got an official acceptance letter today. Since I've been out of school for 6 years, I have to retake all of my foundational courses. It's so frustrating because I got As in all of them and have been a SLPA for 5 years. For that reason, I will not be attending. Hope you've heard back from them too! Best of luck!

Hello! No, I have not heard back from Baylor! I'm a little disappointed to have not heard back yet. I also submitted my application for their early priority deadline. Hopefully you hear back soon. Did you hear back from Emerson already? My friend just interviewed about two weeks ago but she has not heard back.

I interviewed on Jan 2nd, my application was submitted on Jan 13th, and I was accepted on 1/18. My advisor said I would hear back in 3-6 weeks but they are really fast at getting decisions out. Hopefully you hear back from them soon! Best of luck!

Hello! My questions were pretty specific to my statement of purpose. It is very relaxed and informal. Create an elevator pitch for why you chose to pursue a career as an SLP. I was really nervous but it's so casual! You'll interview with your advisor for about 12 minutes. Good luck on your interview! -
I think I am favoring Emerson so far. I like that we have the opportunity to visit the campus, clinic, and meet professors/classmates. One of my friends just started Baylor last week but I haven't had the opportunity to talk to her about the program. I've heard Emerson is very demanding and not as flexible as students think. I'm currently a SLPA 40 hours a week but I am planning on going part time or quitting once I start a program. I'm currently in the Speech@Emerson Facebook group and many students mention spending 40-50 hours a week on their coursework. I wish I knew a little more about Baylor! What about you? ? Thank you so much, rooting for all of you!

Hello! I applied to Speech@Baylor and Speech@Emerson as well. I submitted my application for Baylor mid November. The admissions counselor I worked with recommended I complete my application a month prior to the priority deadline. It was officially submitted to faculty two weeks ago. I haven’t heard back from them yet. My friend applied the same day I did and two days ago, she received an email that her application was denied. I submitted my application for Emerson early December. I got an email to schedule an interview the next day. My interview was Jan 3rd and my application was officially submitted on Jan 16th. I received an email that I was accepted two days later. I know a lot about how Emerson works but I can’t seem to find any information on how Baylor works. They are both really expensive programs but I am a mom and online programs are my only option. One of my classmates is currently at Emerson and says it’s rigorous. @MadisonMachelle Thank you for sharing this! Do we reach out to the financial aid office for this opportunity?

Hello! I also applied to Speech @ Emerson for the May 2020 cohort. I applied on Dec 17th and was asked to schedule an interview on Dec 18th. Due to the holidays and faculty being out, I interviewed on January 3rd. My application was officially submitted to faculty yesterday and now I am eagerly awaiting their decision. I've heard great things about this program and I'm hopeful I'll be admitted. My GRE scores were not the best, although I did do well on the writing subsection. I graduated with a 3.92 gpa and have 5 years of SLPA experience. My friend is in the program and says they choose different types of students to be in their program. I think you'll be just fine! I know some of the students did not have the highest gpa but their personal statement and LORs helped them be admitted! Best of luck to you! Please update if you hear back!
