Couldn't hurt to try, I guess? I've read about people negotiating with other programs, so it's possible.

That's what I got too. I'm assuming it's all but a formality, as far as waiting on the official letter. Like if between now and then they discover that someone lied on their applications or something, they could rescind the offer, but barring that, I think you're in!

This is my #1!! It'd be cool to go 4/4, but even if I get into SAIS at this point, Georgetown is where I'll be! I didn't get a financial aid offer either, unfortunately. A bit of bummer, to be sure.

I'M IN!!!! AH!!! I'm not crying, you're crying!! ?

Awesome! That makes a lot of sense. Hopefully with some of the regional studies programs sending out decisions, MSFS will send something out soon. I know it's a long shot, but I want it so bad. lol.

Ahh! Congratulations!! Do you think you'll go or are you still waiting on SAIS?
-
I did. Mine was right at 2 minutes and I feel like I sounded so dumb, lol. But I'm hoping the content was helpful to the strength of my application. I went to one of their info sessions and they said that it really was completely optional and that it could really only help if you decided to do it, but it wouldn't count against you if you didn't.

That's what I got, too. I'm not sure where it stands on the high-low scale, but it definitely helps.

Got mine too! Also no mention of funding, but I assumed it would be sent separately.

I applied. Haven't heard anything yet. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it'll be soon, though!

I've gotten an official acceptance letter from SIS and the informal email from Elliott. Still waiting on SAIS (rumor has it decisions are rolling out on March 6th) as well as MSFS. Keeping my fingers crossed for all of us!

Congrats! I got a similar email saying that I had been admitted to my program, but still no official decision or aid package offer. Keeping my eyes peeled though.

Ugh. Knowing that they're in the last round of anything makes me all the more anxious, lol. I'm crossing my fingers that we'll know something next week. ?

Chomp Chomp! Thanks, and good luck to you as well! Go Navy! Beat Army! ?

110%. Schrodinger's application. lol.

For all we know that could be good and we could all be screwed ? Or it could mean absolutely nothing and they're doing things in batches, lol.

Just checked. Mine, too. Eep. lol.

Good to know! Fingers crossed, then!

Focused on where I've been, where I am now, and where I want to be in terms of IR. Had two mentors look over and give feedback on multiple revisions. Strength of LOR's (be honest, describe the process, etc): Strong. One academic and two profressional, though one of the pros has seen me in academic settings multiple times over the course of many years. All of my recommenders know me very well. I waived my right to see them, but one sent me an overwhelmingly positive draft. Other:

It might be worth looking into next year/semester if SAIS doesn't work out! I think they do Spring admissions. I applied to SAIS as well and am still waiting on a decision from them as well, but I'm not super hopeful. I don't really have a strong econ/quant background and they seem to focus pretty heavily in that area. And will do!

I don't think it's a bad choice, all told. Where all did you apply?

I got an official acceptance letter from SIS at American, and yesterday I got an email from the program director at GWU Elliott offering congratulations and saying that an official letter of acceptance/fellowship info will follow. Walsh is my top choice, and I'd be disappointed if I weren't to get in, but I have to say, Elliott wouldn't be so bad of a consolation prize!

Also waiting. I've gotten acceptance notifications from two other schools so the anxiety is all the higher waiting for the MSFS decision. ?
