Experience: 2 years front line social service working with people ages 15-29 with complex socio-economic barriers. 1 of these years was in program leadership (I was the coordinator of the program). 2 years in integrated mental health and substance use in mental health community organizations and hospital environments working with adults with mental health and addictions challenges. 2 years facilitating group counselling sessions for new immigrants and refugees 4 Years volunteering at a distress line. References: 1 professors - who was an advocate and a very strong reference. I would say he was a champion for my success and likely made a huge difference in my application. 1 manager - my manager at the hospital I work at - who is also a registered therapist. Academics - BA Psych - York - B+ average (i worked throughout university full time - keeping extremely high marks was challenging) Addictions and Mental Health grad certificate - Durham College 96% average I hope this helps! Just a quick update - received my official offer on sgs for UofT about an hour ago. It came through an email. Good luck to everyone!

I did not receive an e-mail. I just logged into ACORN and there was an invite under academics. When I clicked on courses it says MEd Counselling Psychology. My last name starts with L btw. I'll update once I receive any updates on SGS. Wishing everyone good fortune!

Just received an invite on acorn for MEd Counselling and Psychotherapy at UofT!!! I hope this is a good sign!!!

There have been 4 acceptances for the MEd Counselling and psychotherapy program on the results page.. ? Holding on to hope? Does anyone know if schools generally send acceptances on the same day? Or are they delivered at different times? (Oise in particular) Thanks guys!

I did. I'm surprised not a lot of people who applied to this program are more active on here. There were more than 530 applicants this year to this program alone (you can check stats on the website). I'm anticipating hearing back from OISE this week or next... Hopefully ?
