Quick question for current students: What kinds of classes (subject) did you TA for?

Weirdly, nearly everyone I know, with a single exception, who went to NPSIA (either for the MA or the joint JD-MA with UOttawa) is now in private industry or NGOs, while the one person I know who went to Munk works at GAC... granted, that's purely anecdotal.

EDIT: I also know two people who went through GSPIA, and they're split 50/50 between gov't and private

Just got the email today for NPSIA! Super happy, now I will have to decide between Munk, NPSIA, and a very very appealing EnvStudies Masters at York... at this point it's scary to say I am entirely unsure which to pick... Also for NPSIA I have "Health, Displacement and Humanitarian Policy" as my specialization (I completely forget which order I placed my top three picks in haha but I think this was my #1)
Best of luck to everyone else still waiting to hear back! Waiting is no fun and I hope you all get into your dream programs.

50,000 for a degree seems steep. If you want to work for government go to NPSIA. Funding is better, research opportunities are better, reputation is better, a fraction of the cost and is in Ottawa. Where the federal government is.

Why do you want to go to Munk?

the mga is a professional degree, so they provide very little funding to offer holders and the program also doesn't qualify for the school's finacial aid (utaps). you might want to look at external funding sources and your province's loan system/private loans from places like scotiabank, etc.

Hello, just found this forum and wanted to say I was accepted the other day to Munk! Domestic 4th year student finishing international relations degree in Canada. Have not even had time to apply or look at scholarship/funding, so if anyone has any advice that would be greatly appreciated!
