  1. FRQS doctoral results are out! ? FRQNT doctoral still pending, probably later today…
  2. Less than a week to go for CIHR...time is definitely going slower these days.
  3. Waiting for doctoral FRQNT and FRQS! If it’s anything like the masters ones, they’ll release the decision on the last day of April at midnight.
  4. So turns out April 15 is Good Friday, which means government offices are all likely closed. Wonder if this will delay results to the next Tuesday?
  5. supposedly April 15 (see link below), though I think it was last year or the year before that results were delayed to end of April due to COVID https://www.researchnet-recherchenet.ca/rnr16/vwOpprtntyDtls.do?prog=3518&view=currentOpps&org=CIHR&type=EXACT&resultCount=25&sort=program&next=1&all=1&masterList=true
  6. Status moved to "In Peer Review" this week, guessing no more updates until mid-April or so when decisions should be released.
  7. And just updated to "Submitted to Funding Organization" this morning on ResearchNet, with the official CIHR email sent out as well.
  8. Hi all, First time starting a post on here. Figured I'd make one for us CIHR CGS-D applicants this year as the nominations are starting to get processed and sent to CIHR, so we can all share our time in suspense! Just had my application "Approved by Research Institution" yesterday, so I imagine the actual sending of the application package to CIHR will take place tomorrow or Monday (deadline for nominations is Monday Nov 22 @ 8PM EST). This is my first time applying, I selected the biomedical research scientific area ("Doctoral Research Awards - A"). Looking at numbers from previous years, seems to be about a 1-in-3 to 1-in-4 chance that the application is selected for funding after making it to the national competition, with at least 250 applications being funded this year. Pretty reasonable odds if you ask me! Best of luck everyone!
  9. Hate to revive an old thread, but wanted to share some good news. I cleared the alternate list at McGill University this week and was awarded a CGS-M! I honestly accepted the fact that I didn't get the award since it's been ~7 months, but good news can come at the most odd times sometimes!
  10. I think there is still hope! For instance, McGill University said this in an email to me recently, about the alternate lists - "This process can take place between April 2020 and January 2021 with the bulk of offers typically being made over the course of the summer." Hang in there!
  11. Wondering if anyone knows if round 2 offers are also released at 8AM on May 6? Or can be any time that day?
  12. Not a problem, translate isn’t the best always. But I’ve had that status before in funding that I was chosen for, so it’s a good message
  13. Congrats! Check the My Forms page on the left sidebar. There should be a “View” button for your application all the way to the right. That has official letter and your committee scores! EDIT- also that translates to “retained for funding”, ie. you were selected for funding
  14. FRQS/FRQNT are out on the Portal. Not sure why FRQSC hadn't released yet. Good luck to all!
