  1. Congrats! Would you mind sharing your stats and are you from the East coast? You can message too if you don't feel comfortable sharing in the forum.
  2. Also received my rejection from McMaster today. I kind of prepared myself for it as I know the GPA cut-off is competitive. Just wanted to share this as it made me feel better. My friend who applied last year didn't receive an interview from McMaster but was accepted by Western and UofT and now attends UofT. It goes to show that you can still be a qualified applicant without having an extremely high GPA. I'm hoping McMaster will change their application process in the future. GPA is a very important measure but it doesn't paint the whole picture for many applicants.
  3. Hi everyone, Just thought I would give an update, I also received confirmation from Dalhousie today but still no update on their online application. I applied to Dalhousie last year, was waitlisted and ultimately not accepted. I asked for feedback on my application and was told that there were 250 applicants last year with only 40 spots (14 of which are audiology students). Hopefully, there aren't as many applicants this year and best of luck to everyone!
  4. Hi there, Thank you so much for this information, it's very helpful. I just wanted to ask what sort of volunteer experience you had? I have plenty of SLP placement experience but it is limited to children. As well, how do you like the program at Western? Thanks!
  5. I applied to Dalhousie, McMaster, Western and Toronto. Thanks for the information :), I've been trying to look through different websites and some of them either don't post it or you have to do some digging. On Dalhousie's website, they say that accepted applicants typically have a GPA over 3.7. Best of luck to you as well! Waiting to hear back is so nerve-racking!
  6. Could anyone who has applied in the past or current applicants who know tell me what is considered a competitive sub-gpa? I'm currently at 3.72 and I'm worried this is not high enough.
  7. So CGPA would be my average for 4 years of university and the sub-GPA would be the last two years?
  8. Is the sub-gpa the GPA listed at the bottom of the course calculations or is it the one above the courses titled overall GPA?
  9. Hi guys, This is my second year applying (last year I just applied to Dalhousie and was waitlisted). This year I will be applying to Dalhousie, UofT and McMaster. I am retaking two of pre-requisite courses and I am unsure of how this will be calculated and if anyone knows? In my prerequisites, should I list my previous mark or put that it's in progress? On U of T's admission page, I saw that students are allowed to take courses twice, but I am not sure how they go about this in terms of calculation GPA. If anyone has any insight on this, please let me know. Thanks, Ana
  10. Hi everyone, I've been anxiously reading this thread all month and I just received a waitlist offer from Dalhousie. I'm just trying to see who else received one and if people have declined acceptances to get an idea of how long the waitlist is. Thanks
