  1. Hello Not sure if this is the right place to post this (I'm new here), so please do tell me if it isn't! Program Applying to: SUPER LOST. I have no clue what I want to apply to - I'm leaning towards MPP programs in the US/Canada. I know for sure that I want to work with non-profits. Background: I'm an Indian Muslim female - and very passionate about empowering the community given their current political disenfranchisement in India. I was born and raised in the Middle East and am passionate about migration and refugee causes as well. Definitely want to work with marginalized communities, and possibly in developing education programs? Undergraduate Institution: Top tier liberal arts school in the Middle East Undergraduate GPA: 3.6 cumulative, 3.5+ ish major Undergraduate Major: Physics (I'll complete a minor in Poli Sci by the end of senior spring, and possibly a minor in Math as well.) GRE: Have not taken yet. Using Magoosh to prep and expecting strong quant scores given heavy math experience Years Out of Undergrad: I expect to apply straight out of undergrad. (Can't stick around at home due to personal reasons, so I really need to leave haha + need funding.) Years of Work Experience: 0 Describe Relevant Work Experience: Remotely interning this summer with a small non-profit based in Greece, developing education and housing programs for refugees. I expect to continue working with them even after this summer. Other notable experience: Was funded to study abroad in NYC junior fall. Last summer, I served as a mentor for an undergrad admissions mentorship program aimed at helping deserving students interested in the development of the African continent study at top colleges. Freshman spring, I took an engineering ethics class, as part of which I traveled (funded) to Jordan for a Habitat for Humanity Program. Served on the board of the South Asian Students Association. Have pretty good research experience in astrophysics and astronomy from freshman and sophomore years (author on at least one paper) - and as much as I love the cosmos, I take greater joy in imparting my fascination to others. Hence thinking of education programs. Would appreciate any suggestions for what programs I should consider, and what schools I might make a good fit for, and my general chances. Thank you!
