Yes, I got scholarship info March 5th and the financial aid package the following week. For reference, I was admitted to the International Education MA on March 2nd.

Good luck! I applied waaaaay before the deadline (Jan 4 I think) and so did another friend of mine who got notified a day before-- they're likely just sending it out in waves ?

I haven't heard anything either ? this happened to me with NYU too. I did get in it just took longer and gave me a lot more anxiety
Did you apply to CIE or IED? I'm CIE so I wonder if that makes a difference, seeing as how everyone I know who has been notified so far is IED

I live near Harvard and walked to the Yard today to give John Harvard's shoe a rub for all of us (then promptly sanitized my hands haha). I completely agree with what @emcollins3 has said-- we are all bound for greatness no matter what happens today!

There's a lot of speculation about application increases etc., so I did some research into it. I want to add this is based on a lot of assumptions, so take it with a grain of salt.
If we look at Peterson's data, then there was a 54% acceptance rate in 2020: 1700 people applied, 912 people were accepted, and 667 matriculated. Things we can extrapolate if we assume the data is correct and Harvard does not want to increase the incoming class size:

I withdraw from a whole semester my second semester of college. That was 5 Ws. I have been admitted to one school so far, and I didn't even mention it in the application (they know only from seeing my transcripts). I wouldn't be too concerned.

First, congrats on your acceptance! That's an incredible feat.
Do you mean Thursday as in 2/11? I would definitely give it more time-- a business week. This is a really busy time of year for administrators and you're likely not the only one reaching out with a similar concern. It's not easy to wait, but I would suggest waiting until this upcoming Thursday and then following up, and then waiting until the following week to reach out to your POI. Unless there's some other deadline you didn't mention, like a date you have to commit by (that's before April 15) then take it easy.

I am not a teacher (although I have been a tutor and English teacher in the past) and I am going for International Education-- specifically intercultural exchange and curriculum globalization. I have several years experience with youth exchange students (not higher ed study abroad) and hope to shed some light on such a large body of students. Hi all,
Not sure where to put this. I got into my dream program last year but deferred to spend a year as a Fulbrighter. My Fulbright grant will come to a close in the summer but I have the opportunity to extend, and I think I'm going to. I just don't feel like my work here is done, and I know that my institution wants me to stay as badly as I do. Plus, my income is good, my cost of living is low, and the country I'm in is exceedingly safe. I don't really want to go back to the US at the moment!
To be clear, staying here gives me more experience in my field, and is allowing me to work on the ground level of program development at my institution. I think it's to my advantage in nearly every way that I stay.
How should I go about requesting a second deferral from my institution? They have stated that they only accept single year deferrals but it's worth it to ask, I'm just trying to figure out how best to do it.
If they won't, do you think that the admissions committee would view me reneging negatively when I reapply?
