  1. I see. 7-8 years is insane lol. Btw, if you don't mind me asking, what is your profile like (publications, work exp, stats, etc.)?
  2. I see. I heard the program takes roughly 5-6 years to complete. Do you know anything about this? I'm wondering if people can complete it in 3-4 years.
  3. I also applied. No news so far. Do they do interviews? I applied to the Methods track.
  4. I applied to Stanford HP. I was told interview invites would be sent out this week and onwards. So far, I have not heard anything!
  5. 100% agree with this. Any statistics-related field will give you skills that you can apply to virtually any area of research work.
  6. I interviewed for the PhD in HPM in early Jan. I was told decisions will be sent out in late jan/early feb
  7. Thanks for the information! Much appreciated and good luck to you as well!
  8. Congrats on the interview! What makes you think it was unclear about whether or not an interview was mandatory for admission? Did you ask them or anything? Just curious because I'm lowkey bummed as I applied to PHS Epi and haven't heard anything.
  9. Congratulations on the interview! Did you receive the interview invite e-mail today for Harvard Pop Health?
  10. Still no news from Harvard (I applied to Health Policy and Pop Health Sci)
  11. LOL. That is a good question. I'd rather have an interview and get rejected (it will hurt, but at least you got a good learning experience out of it!)
  12. Anyone here interview for JHU HPM PhD? Please private message me!
  13. Same. Nothing yet from Harvard HP.
  14. I feel you! I had two interviews and now i'm playing the waiting game. It really sucks to wait.
  15. I'm still waiting too... No news... is good news? lol
  16. Thank you! It was the PhD program, not DrPH
  17. I applied to Harvard PHS, Harvard Health Policy, Stanford Health Policy and Hopkins Health Policy. So far, I've only heard back and interviewed at Hopkins.
  18. Yeah I found that kind of odd as well, since it says interviews are not required (in Harvard PHS FAQs). I applied to Harvard PHS (Epi) and have not received any response.
  19. Wow, congratulations!!! Was your offer sent out today? I applied as well, but have not received a response. Thanks.
  20. I heard back from JHU HPM (interview), but not Harvard PHS Epi.
  21. Hi everyone, Has anyone heard back from Hopkins PhD in Public Health? I submitted my app on Dec 1, and I received an informal interview invite from a department member (not an official e-mail). This seems pretty quick - is this common practice? Any insight would be much appreciated. Thanks.
  22. Hello, I apologize if this has already been answered (couldn't find anything via search). Am I able to apply for the CIHR Doctoral Award (CGS-D) if I am not currently affiliated with a program/university? I completed my masters 2 years ago and have been working since. I'm planning on applying to several PhD programs across Canada. I was told that even if I can apply, the likelihood of getting the award is low because I have no supervisor supporting my application, etc. Any guidance would be much appreciated! Thanks!
