anyone have any intel on depaul's decisions? i still have not heard back yet which i find kinda strange since their deadline was so early (jan 6th). all the programs with deadlines in the first week of jan got back to me a long time ago

Hello Everyone! I’m currently a senior at a liberal arts college planning on applying to PhD programs for Fall 2021. While searching through programs, I’m unsure on how to accurately gauge how competitive/selective each program is. I’m looking at continental philosophy programs, and while I’m mostly applying to competitive ones (depaul, penn state, stony brook etc.) I’d like to find some ‘safety’ programs that would be relatively easier to place into just incase none of the tier1 continental programs take me. So, if anyone has feedback on ‘safety’ programs that are more continental in focus, or any general advice on how to judge the selectivity of a program, I’d love to hear it!

Hello Everyone! I’m currently a senior at a liberal arts college planning on applying to PhD programs for Fall 2021. However, given the financial impacts of covid-19 forcing many programs to suspend admissions and take in smaller cohorts, I thought it’d be a smart idea to consider some funded MAs too since those would be easier to get into. I don’t really know much about MA programs though, so I was wondering if anyone on this forum would help throw some names at me to get me started? My interests lie broadly in continental philosophy, and more specifically in deleuze/heidegger/bergson/derrida. I’ve heard NIU, UW-Milwaukee, Georgia State are considered highly rated funded MAs, if anyone has any feedback on those programs or more programs to add that would be great!
