Reposting from Biology admissions forum.
Accepted to Princeton molecular biology (based on results it seems they sent all acceptances and rejections today?). Also was rejected from Harvard BBS pretty much at the same time (knew it was coming).
Very excited for Princeton will probably be attending (unless I potentially get into Stanford then idk). Incredibly fortunate to have these offers.

Hi! Congratulations! By when do you have to let them know about your decision?
Thank you! It is April 15th for both Emory and Weill Cornell. Glad to have the time to decide

Accepted to both Emory BCDB and Weill Cornell BCMB (Interview Jan21-22)

Accepted to St. Judes a few days ago.
Feel free to ignore this, but a helpful tip a grad student during an interview session told me today was to write down pros and cons of each school right after the interview session to help make your decision later. Been on 5 interviews so far and after each one felt like I really liked the school and would attend.
Just realized a letter of rec was never fully uploaded for harvard BBS just says "started" as the status so I think that was a waste of 120 bucks or whatever ?

Rejected from Yale MCGD yesterday. Kind of figured it was coming, but still a tad surprised because going into the applications I thought it was the program that fit me the best ? I guess sometimes that's how it goes, no complaints though. Congrats to all who got interviews!!

@devcbyDid you get an invitation from Stanford Biosciences already? I thought they said that they'd start sending invited Jan 11.

Yes it was an email from the admissions committee on dec 11th, but they explicitly said each committee for the home programs in bioscience operate on their own timeline so everyone will be different and I should expect the official notification from the biosciences admission office in jan

Great! Congratulations. I applied on Oct 27th after which they invited me to complete the secondary invitation by Dec 10th. I did so but still haven't heard back from them. I am an international applicant though! are you an international too? If not, did they ask you to complete the secondary application too? Just asking to understand if the secondary applications are only for the international applicants?
Thank you! The email said they received over 1,000 applicants this cycle... so it may just take time to get out to everyone. I am not an international applicant and did not have to submit a secondary application. I remember seeing someone post something that international applicants won't be contacted until mid jan? I may be wrong tho.

Yeah- UConn is doing the same thing. I have a prelim interview next week!
Nice! I think these are actually a nice way to get comfortable with the program if we end up getting a formal interview after.

Got a request from emory dev bio admissions for a quick zoom call tomorrow. I think emory has done these quick meetings in the past to gauge interests etc before sending official interview invites? Still only have one official interview from stanford dev bio. No word from anywhere else. Good luck everyone! Should be a stressful weekend

A little discouraged I wasn't in the first batch of MCGD interviews from Yale as that is my top choice! Long process though

Figured I would stop lurking and make my first post. Applied to biological science/biomed programs particularly developmental/molecular bio:
Yale-BBS(MCGD), Harvard-BBS, UTSouthwestern-biomed, Princeton-mol bio, Emory-BCDB, St Judes-biomed (I think this is gonna be an awesome program in the coming years), Duke-DSCB, Cornell-BCMB, Stanford-dev bio
Have not heard back from anywhere yet. GOOD LUCK to all!

Decided to attend Princeton Molecular Biology!
While I am sure there are a bunch more qualified applicants in here than me I would be willing to share my stats/tips for anyone who will be reapplying/starting to think about applications for next year. If you think that would be helpful just DM me!
