I still have nothing from NYU, Cornell, and Maryland. Is it safe to assume all those are rejections? Feeling ready to end this cycle once MIT finally comes out

Claiming a Vanderbilt waitlist. A bit disappointing, but the DGS said in the email they had over 200 applicants and 5% accepted

Wondering what people think about this: If I got an offer from a T25 this cycle but didn't get into most other programs I applied to, is my best option going there and considering myself lucky to get an acceptance at all? Or would it possibly be better in the long term to just try again next cycle when admissions will likely be easier and there is a better shot of getting into a T20 or T10?

Time to assume a Northwestern rejection? I know in past years they sometimes stagger the acceptances, but it doesn't seem like there's much to hope for there

Someone else mentioned this as well, but I got an interview for Vanderbilt earlier today. Also I still don't see a rejection on my UT Austin portal? Not sure what's going on there

Congrats to all admits!! So does it seem like not hearing from NYU or Princeton at this point means a rejection? Not knowing is killing me!

Thanks! Waiting is for sure the hardest part, but it really seems like you have to take everything on gradcafe with a grain of salt. Even if they're real, it doesn't mean you're automatically rejected anyway

Yeah that was me! I think I saw them around January 17-18, so that would be more than a week later

I just received an acceptance from UIUC well after others were notified, so there may be hope still for folks who are in a similar position with other programs! Wishing everyone luck!

If UIUC sent out some acceptances a week or two ago and I have heard nothing, is it safe to assume a rejection by now? Feels like it's going that way but it's so hard not being totally able to give up on it
