  1. Thank you! And yes exactly-- I wish price weren't such a big factor but here we are!
  2. Hi everyone- I posted in the Silberman thread but wanted to share here in case someone isn't following that and this would be helpful. I just received my acceptance to Hunter today -- my application was complete at the end of December and i did not interview. I didn't receive an email that there was an update to my portal, I actually only noticed because I reached out to the admissions team to ask for a timeline and they notified me that there's a decision on my portal! Weird timing since I've been checking obsessively until now and just didn't check today before reaching out to them. They are requiring a decision from me within 3 weeks, which feels super fast considering that the acceptance didn't include any financial aid info. Regardless, I will most likely accept since it was one of my top choices and even with full tuition it's cheaper than the other schools I applied to (unless Columbia accepts me and offers some crazy scholarship). This has been a stressful waiting period so I'm sending support to everyone -- hope everyone here hears good news soon!
  3. Hi everyone! Just wanted to update that I just received acceptance to Hunter. It actually came as a shock - I just chatted with the admissions office to see if I can recieve a timeline and they informed me that they see a decision on my portal that came in this morning, but I didn't get an email. My application was completed on 12/29 and I didn't get an interview. They require a response within 3 weeks (!!?) and haven't sent any scholarship info, but regardless of aid they offer this is probably the most affordable option for me. Good luck to all those waiting! Edited to add: they did not include any information about financial aid or when I can expect to hear about that. Does anyone know the timeline for that?
  4. Hey, thanks for your response! It's worrying me that Hunter sends our responses so late, but hopefully I'll hear soon since I applied in December. I'm glad to hear that you like it there! The students and discussions are what really make a school so it's important that that's been a positive experience. I can imagine the bureaucracy of the CUNY system, but you're right that that's the case in pretty much every school. I guess it's good practice since the field of social work requires a lot of self advocacy in general ?
  5. Hi! Did you interview for Silberman before getting in? I'm getting nervous that I haven't been invited to interview and I applied around 12/29. Also, how are you finding Silberman? It's my top choice due to its good reputation, solid balance of clinical and macro work, and of course the price tag. How has your experience been so far? Thanks!
  6. Congrats!! Wow, that's fast... I received my completed application confirmation on 1/14 and haven't heard anything... Oh the anxiety.
  7. I applied to the same schools, except Fordham. Congrats on your acceptances so far! I also got into NYU and also have Hunter as my top choice - the anxiety of waiting is unreal. Hoping to hear good news for both of us soon!!
  8. Hi! This happened to me too, and I reached out to their admissions office to ask about this. They said that it's an issue with the system and they need to manually change the transcript status to submitted. It might be worth giving them a call/email to confirm that your application is complete-- you should not need to send official transcripts before being accepted. Hope this helps!
  9. Has anyone heard from Hunter yet or know when we can expect responses? I applied at the end of December and am so anxious to hear back!
  10. I did the regular track...sorry I can't be more helpful!
  11. Oh wow that is fast. I'm actually really impressed with NYU's response time. Congrats!
  12. Congrats to you as well! So worried I won't hear from other schools before their 8-week response deadline. They offered me $12,000, so it seems like we're both within a decent range. Still such expensive tuition ?
  13. Hi everyone! I just got accepted to NYU for full-time on campus program in Fall 2021. Wanted to share in case this is helpful: my application was submitted on 12/29, recieved an email about completion status on 1/5, and acceptance this morning, 1/22. I received an email to check my portal at about 10am. Still anxiously waiting to hear from my other choices.? NYU offered me a scholarship and I'm wondering if anyone knows the average scholarship amount that they offer? Just wondering if what they have offered me is considered generous or small, as I may want to appeal for more aid. Good luck to all those still waiting and congrats to those accepted!
