  1. Hi, sorry for my late reply. Yes, I got the scholarship. They sent me an email saying that they will send the official documents in a couple of days and my funding dates changed & status changed to selection made.
  2. Hi, I just got an email from them! Just so you know!
  3. Hi. Thanks for asking. No, still there's no update, status still on "paper copies received" 😕 I guess you also did not hear anything?
  4. Hi, thanks a lot for your detailed post! May I ask you a few questions via DM? Thanks!
  5. Hi, to anyone who applied for a PhD grant - do you know if there is/will be or already was interviews?
  6. Hi guys, is there anyone from Turkey who applied to doctoral grants? anyone heard anything yet?
  7. Hi, from which country did you apply to and which funding? Your name sounds Turkish hence I was curious, thanks
  8. Thank you guys, I applied from TR and deadline was 15 Nov so I guess I still have some time to hear the results.
  9. Hi, guys may I ask from which country did you apply and when was the deadline for application for you? Thanks!
  10. No I was talking about my previous application. This time I also applied to PhD grant
  11. Hi, Last time I applied the deadline was again 15th Novembe and I got the official results in early april. But regarding interview ı am not sure and I also would like to know because earlier I applied for a short term research grant and that did not require an interview but regarding phd scholarship I heard inconsistent reports... Maybe depends on the country? I dont know
  12. Hi, no unfortunately it is still on "paper copies received". I am not so sure but I think we'll hear the result earliest by end of march - first week of april but I hope we both can get a positive result as soon as possible. Fingers crossed!
  13. And also, I think our profiles are quite similar. I also have previous scholarships (not Fullbright tho), high grades, previous abroad experiences as well as a supervisor in Germany waiting for me. let's hope for the best!
  14. Noone is an authority here, I guess, but as someone who has been awarded with 2 DAAD scholarships before, I think your chances are quite high. Fingers crossed! I also applied for my third scholarship, this time for PhD. I wish luck for both of us.
  15. Hi everyone. I hope I opened this discussion under the right thema. So my question is actually pretty clear: I am from Turkey and I have found my supervisor in Germany who is willingly to supervise me during my doctoral studies. My area is psychology/clinical psychology, btw. However the problem is, of course, funding. I have already applied for this DAAD funding for doctoral studies. But I want to look for other oppurtunuties since I don't want do be dependent only on one option. Mine is not a structured doctoral programme but rather an individual project. Do you guys have any idea about the other possible funding oppurtunuties? I appreciate any kind of tips and tricks.
  16. Hi! For Turkey it says the deadline is on 15th november so I am currently working on to finish my research proposal and other rather easy documents. I said rather easy because I am familiar with DAAD scholarships as previously I applied for a short-term research grant - now aim for phd funding. I want to study in Germany because I did my previous research stay during my masters there and I have already a network there What about you?
  17. Hi, thanks for this thread. I also aim to apply for a phd grant in a few days if I can manage to submit all documents. I have a question: do you think for an applicant who nominated previously for other DAAD fundings, the chance of getting a second funding is higher? or lesser?
  18. Hi. Thanks for opening this sub-topic. I also aim to apply for PhD grant if I can manage to prepare my documents in a few days, hopefully. I am from Turkey and my subject area is psychology/clinical psychology. I wish good luck to everyone also!
  19. Thank you for the feedback
  20. Hi ! Although I applied to a different funding from you (as far as I remember) (mine is short term research grant) my status is still "papier copies received", just so you know good luck!
  21. @_cylon_ thank you, for now I don't need further help but would like to reach out in case I have any @ba1313 No, I did not apply to visa yet because I will follow different routes according to the funding results, whether it be negative or positive. For example, as far as I know, funding also provides the insurance so if I get the funding -hopefully- I don't need to get insurance seperately etc. So that's why whether it be negative or positive, I need to hear back from them as soon as possible. Plus, I don't know any other platform either where ppl from TR can discuss such things. You can DM me tho in case you would like to ask further questions.
  22. Hi there! I am also from TR - I applied to the short term research grant, in the field of psychology and as I check everyday multiple times, its status is still on "papier copies received" and there is no change in the date of the funding as well. I was also thinking maybe they will release the results around the first week of April. But some people got some visas to apply so they better be quick! May I ask to which fundind did you apply to?
  23. Yes i get the same screen as well but it was suppose to be under construction between 8pm and 10pm (according to their time zone i guess) so probably that's why. Don't worry
  24. Hello! thank you so much for letting me know, I think time difference is because we are applying from different regions (me from TR) but they should be releasing the results already, we are very tired of checking the portal regularly. Anywas, better positive and late than an early and negative answer. I wish you luck too!
  25. Thank you for your answer yes, my status is also still the same - paper copies received. And I don't know the date of the comission meeting either. Let's hope for the best. I hope we both get a positive result as soon as possible. Good luck!
