Just watched Rocky the other night, and the blessing of getting waitlisted started to sink in. Five years ago, I had doubts whether pursuing a national security career was right for me, largely because my undergraduate performance dissuaded me to even look at grad school. I don’t think prospective applicants would’ve applied to SFS with my numbers. Most don't even try. 
Thanks to a recent SSP graduate, whose inspiration brought my ambitions back on-track, my sights was set on Georgetown. My undergraduate GPA won’t change, but I did have control over my application essays. Realizing how my newfound purpose would have an impact on others, especially those that helped me, I felt I had something to fight for, and confidently knew my application would be competitive from the start.
For those on the waitlist, you are still a winner. You went the distance against the largest application surge in program history, and probably the cream of the crop. I want to share this story, hopefully to inspire the underdogs that doubted themselves in the past. You belong at Georgetown.

It couldn't hurt to reach out to touch base at some point this week since I'm sure they know word spreads when decisions are released.

I looked at last years thread and there were a considerable number of people who got into SIPA MIA who were active and shared their acceptances. Also someone was waitlisted and notified on the same day as the acceptances. I think one or two people didn't know the day of and they didn't post again.
All of that is to say it would be very unusual for only one person to get any sort of notification on drop day, but definitely possible given how competitive everything this year is I guess

I'm fairly certain it'll happen today for no good reason besides past knowledge, this forum's affirmations and the fact I've gotten all my acceptances when I thought I would this year. So good luck everyone, hang in there!!! This is my last one and I'm dying a little bit but it's all going to be fine either way. 

Yes me too!! And the worst part is having to do it again on Monday night (for you and I) in case today is not the day. 

Cannot deal with this anxiety and stress much longer. They have very concerning physical manifestations ?

Had a chat with AD of admissions a few mins back. Her exact phrasing was "You should hear back from us in a week or so."

Don't think that you got rejected! I think some people still get acceptance letters even if they didn't receive one from the program director! I'm sure it's not too late to be disappointed after all the decision letters are out. Lets wait and see ☺️

This is the last school that I'm waiting on and boy am I nervooouussss

Its March guys. Cant wait for that email from them. Also waiting on other decisions. It's going to be a crazy month-lets hope its the good kind of crazy.

Accepted to MASIA but nothing about money yetttttt (but I'm going to have my fingers crossed until I actually see the portal; I just got a direct email from the program director). 
Graduated back in 2018 with a 3.85 GPA, and have been working in Japan for the past three years in local governance. My GRE scores were alright, I think? 
Excited to meet other MASIA folks in our little program  

CORRECTION: It was someone who applied early action. I suppose regular action decisions aren't out just yet.

Here is a tweet acknowledged by the McCourt school which leads me to this question. Has anybody else received any news?was 

I got accepted yesterday to the Latin American program and was offered a $13,000 scholarship. I received my offer from the program director but the portal hasn't been undated yet. I didn't submit the GRE and I had a 3.9 GPA. I applied straight from undergrad so my only work experience were part time internships.

Well, in that case, I just hope the wait is worth it for all of us on this thread!
