I only applied to John Jay and finished my interviews last week. So I'm waiting on their answer. 

Update: Waitlisted for Sam Houston but I'm definitely alright with that since it was my last choice school. Hope everyone hears back from all their schools soon and gets in to their dream school!!!! 

Thank you so much! I honestly wasn't expecting more than one or two at the most and honestly, I'm super grateful for all of these potential opportunities! Any opinions on which is the best school in your opinion? I'm happy to hear from anyone!

Am I the only person annoyed at Irvine? I feel like if you gonna reject persons, then do it quickly....

Check with the schools on deadlines even the ones you are waiting to hear back from. Also if you commit to one and a better oppurtunity arises you can withdraw, no school will fault you. Sinceyou will be spending the next 5+ years there go where you are happiest. It is ok to change your mind. Obviously since you have time to wait, wait, but again withdrawing after saying you are going is ok.

Has anyone run into the dilemma of getting accepted into schools and still waiting to hear back from others but getting anxious that you might not hear back from other schools in enough time to make an adequate decision?

@Sunshine04You are definitely not alone. I got into UMD but have been waitlisted at 2 places and I am hoping I don't get admitted at the last minute.

I just heard back from the University of Central Florida, and was accepted with funding. 

I have my interviews for JJ lined up for next week! However, I was just notified that I was rejected from Florida State University which was my dream school :( That's alright, everything happens for a reason! Will most likely be attending University of South Carolina's program!

I didn't get in to JJ PhD program, which is a let down, but that was a stretch and one of my professors for the LoR went MIA, but I got into University of Maryland! So now it's decision time between Northeastern University and University of Maryland! I hope everyone gets decisions soon!

thank you @nerdyjilly !!!! and you never know about JJ honestly,I had a feeling they were gonna send the emails out not at once since 4 different people need to coordinate interviews and it's not as straightforward as having everyone come down for a weekend. Good luck and I'm so happy they reached out to you!!!

UPDATE I got a John Jay email invite this morning!

I applied to John Jay, Indiana University-Bloomington, University of Illinois-Chicago, University of Missouri-St. Louis, and University of Cincinnati. I was accepted to Indiana's program last week but haven't heard anything from the other programs as of yet.

I applied to John Jay's PhD and haven't heard anything yet either. Any idea of how many applicants there were this cycle?
