Hi everyone! Excited to join in and say I received an acceptance to UAlberta! I figured I would go ahead and share my stats since a lot of people have been asking Im finishing up a B.Sc-Kin and applied with about a 3.7 sGPA, and around a 3.5 cGPA I think (can't remember..sorry!). I've worked with people who have disabilities in both a direct support and activity coordination role. I've also worked with children who have autism in their skill development. As for SLP honestly I don't have much experience (around 10 hours total). For the GRE I had verbal 148, quant 154 and writing 4.5. Hope that helps. Congrats to everyone who has received an acceptance so far this year!

Mine also says not all documents have been received and I had my admission letter sent out. Also to note - they say response by April 15th just like the other schools so I would imagine all of their communiqué will happen soon

To be honest, myself and two of my good friends received waitlist emails from McGill today & our stats are completely different. I would try not to worry so much about who has what stats & just be patient & see what happens (easier said than done I know!).
I think one thing McGill really emphasizes is research & thats the only thing that none of us had a lot of experience with... So maybe you have a better chance if you have lots of research experience? But for reference, one girl had no SLP experience, one girl had some with kids, and I had 300ish hours with various age groups. We all had pretty high GPAs (all got MMIs at Mac). Two of us are fluent in French.
I'm just trying to say that there are so many little factors that they will value with different applications you will drive yourself crazy trying to figure out if you got in or not... I'm sure you will hear soon.
Good luck! I hope you get some good news!

Also received my rejection from McMaster today. I kind of prepared myself for it as I know the GPA cut-off is competitive. Just wanted to share this as it made me feel better. My friend who applied last year didn't receive an interview from McMaster but was accepted by Western and UofT and now attends UofT. It goes to show that you can still be a qualified applicant without having an extremely high GPA. I'm hoping McMaster will change their application process in the future. GPA is a very important measure but it doesn't paint the whole picture for many applicants.

Hi all! Just thought I'd keep on track with the Dal application updates. I submitted my online fees in November and sent an email with my resume/statement on January 10th. I got an email an hour ago saying my application was complete and sent to admissions so hopefully this helps give a timeline for everyone else! Good luck!
