It’s very rare people get their entire masters program free. They best decision is what you can afford to pay. 22k doesn’t seem like a lot. I have come across ppl who acquired 100k in student loan debt . Also there are jobs who will pay off your student loans and forgiveness programs.

First i want to apologize if my comment was confusing or made anyone nervous. SO i had a group interview for the OYR Clinical track. The school kept sending me emails saying i have to schedule my interview because they want to finalize their 2021 fall class. I contacted the school and they said after you do your interview you may still get emails because a decision wasnt put on your application as its a glitch. I knew there was a interview yesterday from 530-730. When i clicked the link to schedule an interview today it says this even is closed now. Not everyone is required to interview. Many people get in without interviews. This can also be a first round of interviews for people who applied before a certain date. I applied back in december 2020 because im working remotely and i wanted to make sure i get my documents in early. If you look at last years thread people were getting interviews in late spring/ early summer. I dont want to scare anyone and make them believe they didnt get in. But i think a bulk of decisions will come out on Monday because my wife works in graduate admissions at a NYC private university and she is releasing hers monday 3/15/21. Hunter is a city school and they may do things differently. Also many people who were admitted has about 2 weeks to decisde also people who decline their offer im sure those spots will be offered to others in 2 weeks. Sorry for the confusion.

Hey Everyone yesterday was the final day of group interviews. So hopefully monday we will get the bulk of decisions. Hopefully we all get good news.

not everyone interviews. We still don't know how they determine who interviews and who doesn't.

okay it doesnt seem bad, other than me working 9-5pm i would make those hours. Im assuming you live uptown and are close to the school. but i say this to everyone a msw is a msw. I have coworkers who went to hunter and fordham we all end up in the same jobs.

glad to hear the feedback i gave was the same. I dont know how likely 2 weeks is but glad you know what program is best for you and are picking that school. Does lehman have a one year residency option.

I feel your pain maybe the 15th I know some schools release on this day. But it’s just a theory I have no evidence.

Yeah I see we will not be notified until end of March if that. I was told I should hear back 3 weeks after my interview. If not reach out to the school. Today makes three weeks I reach out last Friday.....no response.

because they are a city school under Cuny i dont believe they give scholarships, and also they are very cheap compared to NYU Columbia and Forhdam

Yeah it’s so confusing. Maybe Friday, maybe not. At this point I’m trying to not focus on it.

****UPDATE***** - i just received an e-mail from the director of enrollment mangement about scheduling a interview. FYI i interviewed 15 days ago. But the emailed said if you have scheduled and interviewed already disregard you will receive an update THIS WEEK. i know some people were notified last friday so i guess this friday is the next round. *fingers crossed*

Therapy, my supervisor just left my job because she started seeing enough clients on the side she didn’t have to work her 9-5 . It’s a difference in having court mandated and people who are just having a hard time and want to talk.

I hope so too. But it’s CUNY people are working from home. So I expected a slow response.

My wife works grad admission for a private university here in NYC she said they send rejections first is easier to see who isn’t a good fit. But I only heard a few acceptances no rejections.

Lol approaching quickly and Hunter has everyone on edge. They don’t want to commit to a school that cost 80k more lol. Those expensive schools will accept you quick to get that tuition out of your bank account. Fingers crossed for everyone waiting on good fairly priced news ?

Haven’t heard anything yet. There have been a couple ppl who have been accepted w/o interviews. I haven’t seen someone with a interview get a response yet. Hopefully Friday. That would be my 3 week timeframe since my interview.
