Hey! I know this is slightly off topic, but my first admitted student open house is tomorrow and I have no idea what to expect. Anyone who has done one these, any insight is very appreciated!!

Thank you! They didn't mention living expenses so I don't expect there's a stipend of any kind (I can apply roles in the college if I like). I'm going to speak to them more about the PhD offer (unclear on funding), but I only applied for master's, so if there's no funding the PhD I probably won't be continuing through to that there. Still lots to figure out, but plenty of time.

Thanks! I received an email to check the portal on Sunday. I went on expecting a rejection (since other people had claimed admission awhile back) so I was pretty surprised!! I think they're just making their way through the stack, keep your eyes peeled for an email!

Claiming a New School for Social Research (NSSR) acceptance. Applied for the master's program, offered full tuition in master's and PhD programs- 7 years of support. Waiting for details on CUNY offer (accepted but haven't received official offer from admissions), not totally sure what I will do. Unreal! Very happy.

Hi all! I don't know if any of you attended the November Graduate Center (CUNY) grad open house, but there they said the results will come in spring (and not to reach out and they'll get to everyone). They do historically seem to send admissions notices mid-March through April so I guess we just have to sit tight. It's my top choice, fingers crossed!

Hi everyone. Longtime lurker, first time poster. First, congrats to all the recently admitted! So exciting! I haven't seen many MA applicants posting in here (maybe you're lurking too), but I'm wondering if it's common for admissions notices to comes later in the spring for MA programs? Like everyone else I am obsessively checking my email and worried about the large applicant pool, but I have a feeling I won't get any news until March at the earliest so I think I'm torturing myself pointlessly.
