  1. Yeah, it feels mean (although I know that it's not actually personal haha) that they started on a friday
  2. So helpful, thank you! I'll take some time to poke around on the website, but I may take you up on that.
  3. Yep! Singing, gender affirmation, rehab, that sort of thing I know that it's a competitive area within the field and you also need additional training, but curious if any of the programs themselves are geared towards it
  4. General question - If I'm interested in the field of voice, does anyone know which schools are most geared towards that? I'm interested in any schools (even abroad), in case I do end up needing to re-apply next year
  5. For sure. It helps that there's only a 24h window in which Western/Mac/UofT will post their acceptances (although I've been checking anyways for some reason lol)
  6. UBC, UA and Dal usually email based on what I've heard from current students. I think Ontario schools just update your portal but not 100% sure
  7. Oh wow, I wonder if they're feeling really pressed for time this year then. Thanks for pointing that out!
  8. Dal has not specified to my knowledge and has historically been all over the map. Last year they sent out some acceptances with no prior word after april 15, but hopefully that was just an adjusting-to-covid thing
  9. Oh god this is too real haha. Excuse me while I go cram for my next exam because studying's been so damn hard ?‍♀️?
  10. Haha I'm in the same boat, with a birthday coming up as well ? with no clue when most of the schools I applied to are going to release their results I literally feel like I spend most of my time during the day checking my email, or thinking about checking my email. It's a rough time but I keep thinking that I've waited this long, I can stick it out for a couple more weeks. I hope that helps you too. Best of luck, and happy early birthday
  11. Oh yeah, their advisor is not very good with timely responses to emails from my experience. I also added a little more info to my last post so I hope it helps!
  12. Oh geez I'm sorry to hear that. What email have you been using? non.degree@ubc.ca has been quick to respond to me lately but I've also had nightmare experiences trying to get through to them in the past so I hear you Edit to add: you don't have to take it till the summer before the program (source - I have friends who've done it) but the registration process takes a while and sometimes the class fills up. Non-degree reg is in very early april usually so if you chose to go that route, I would get registered as a non-degree student in early jan next year (or start bugging them in december even) and then if you get in, pay your deposit and register or get on the waitlist asap. Hope that is helpful
  13. Have you already taken AUDI 402 through UBC? I'd assume that would cover the neuroanatomy for UA and UDEM, but not sure. It's online course but not self-paced. Beyond that, I'm less sure, although I think some schools are offering courses online this summer before a hopeful return to campus in the fall, so it may be worth looking into becoming a non-degree or unclassified student somewhere to see if you could take courses there. Good luck!!
  14. Hello! What school do you want to apply to/which courses do you still need?
  15. It's a formality! To my understanding, you're in, congrats
  16. ahh, gotcha. Thank you for getting back to me I have also heard that their waitlist is massive, so it makes sense that their feedback might need to be general, but also frustrating for you. I hope that this year goes well for you, it sounds like you are a really good candidate
  17. Hey! Thank you for sharing, this is helpful information did they specify how you could improve your LOI? If you feel comfortable sharing
  18. Sub, but be mindful of the fact that it's calculated using the last 60 credits, not based on # of courses like ORPAS https://www.ualberta.ca/communications-sciences-and-disorders/programs/msc-in-speech-language-pathology/admissions/admission-requirements/index.html
  19. Not till next week apparently: (I didn't apply but I hope this helps)
  20. Thanks for sharing! Just out of curiosity, did you specify that you were emailing about SLP?
