Hi all! I am a current MPH student at UBC. For those who will be attending UBC in the fall, we have made a facebook group for future SPPH students as a way to connect with current students and other students entering the program. Just got my acceptance to U of A health policy and management! They sent an email saying to check the application portal but don't actually say in the email whether you've been accepted for those who were wondering.

Does anyone know when UBC starts sending out decisions?

Mine says "In progress"! If you click on the Manage button it should say the same thing I think.

No worries! Also the MScPH admin will send you an offer first by email before it appears in your UApply so just make sure you check your junk mail when the time rolls around!

The deadline to accept the offer for McGill is March 15th so I assume they'll be sending out their second round of offers after that!

I think you have a really great shot of getting in! Ultimately it will have a lot to do with your letter of intent and your CV though but you have great stats! I posted my stats earlier in the thread and got accepted into McGill, so based on that I'd say you have a great chance But also different schools and all

In the letter it says "You will receive notification from GPS with their final decision within the next few weeks" however I ended up receiving the final decision later that day! They should send you an email and say that a significant decision has been made on your application and they redirect you to Uapply to check.

Thanks! And ya for sure. Graduated from UVic this past April with an honours degree in Biochem and minor in applied ethics. Graduating GPA of 8.8/9 (93% overall, UVic has a weird scale) and got some academic scholarships over the course of my degree. Currently working as a research assistant in a Biochem lab (cancer signalling focus). I have around 2-3 years research experience cumulative, 2 of which were in my current lab (volunteer, summer work term, honours, and now research assistant) and also did a summer research position with canadian blood services! I have 2 part-time jobs, one as a fitness instructor and the other doing image description for a visually impaired student. I also have a background in competitive sports which I worked into my LOIs and that's about it! Wishing everyone good luck!!! Hopefully we hear back from more schools soon

Hey everyone! I just got an email from McGill today saying they will "recommend" to the Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies that I be admitted into the MScPH program! Wondering if anyone else has received this email as well? I wasn't expecting to hear back so early, but am still waiting to hear from a couple of other schools as well.
