  1. Update for those on the wait list! I reached out to Todd inquiring about the probability of being offered a spot while on the waitlist. He responded with the following: At this time, I’d say it is unlikely that an offer of admission will be forthcoming. The MEd program has met quota now, and although it is possible that a confirmed admit may later decide not to come, it is not something that we anticipate. While the OISE registrar’s office does not send a final communication closing your admission file, I’d recommend that it is now prudent to pursue other plans or offers available to you.
  2. I think it's safe to assume that there could be a chance of being placed on the waitlist, if you haven't heard back yet. My thought is that if someone who was accepted into the program rejects their OISE offer, then an individual on the waitlist would be bumped up and offered admission. Then, someone who hasn't heard back yet might get waitlisted. This is just a theory of how they do things, but it certainly makes it frustrating for everyone else who haven't heard back at all.
  3. An update for those who wanted info on the current waitlist, see below! I asked Todd how many people were on the waitlist currently, and what format the courses in the 2021-2022 semester will be delivered. "We have 10 applicants on the waitlist and we hope to have this resolved in the next few weeks. Unfortunately, there are many new admits from out of province/Canada who are needing more time to accept their offer due to increased challenges during covid. At this time, it seems that Fall session courses will be online with an eye toward a safe and measured return later in the year, if possible. We are planning for in-class instruction for next Winter session, should the vaccine rollouts be completed, and no new closures/covid waves come back."
  4. Does anyone know if the 2021-2022 semester will be delivered online, in-person, or in hybrid form?
  5. Thanks a bunch - I got rejected from all my other schools and this is the last thread of hope I’m holding onto lol. That’s a great idea about emailing them! I’ll report back with any details, if relevant. Hope you can get some clarity on your apps soon! It’s taking ridiculously long and it doesn’t help we’re mostly all highly anxious people haha
  6. Hey everyone! Just finding this thread a bit late but thought I would post to see if anyone’s on the same boat. I got waitlisted for the MEd program on March 29, and rejected from the MA program March 30. Is there an actual chance I’ll get accepted into the MEd program this year? They say if you don’t hear back from us until mid-August, I can just assume I didn’t get accepted (which I think is a ridiculous timeline lol).
