  1. I was funded for 2 years with 20k (I was past the CGS-D deadline)! My committee was 752-2A and I was scored as 9.95, the cut off was 9.71 - so a very tight race! I had pretty much given up on getting a SSHRC after not getting one last year, so I encourage any who didn't get it to try again next year. Either way, your scholarship is important! Congratulations to all those who are funded for this year, and good luck in the next year for everyone else!
  2. My goodness, I can't figure out how to delete this old quote box from last year, maybe I don't deserve a SSHRC after all lol To build on Saiyph's response, you do only get the score, however, I have heard that you can request feedback afterwards. I haven't done this myself, so I don't have any advice to give but a colleague got feedback to ramp up their methodology section, for example. I think there may be a time limit in which you can get feedback, but I can't be sure. It is so subjective! I have heard of the infamous 'bad day' reader, the reader who hates a certain word you happened to uses (did you dare to use the word lacuna?), and the reader who only gives high scores to those whose work resembles their own research areas and interests. To answer Sam, I haven't received anything about the extranet yet, if they follow last year it will probably be at the same time as the results (last week of April/first week of May). I remember being really excited last year too! This year I am trying to tamp down on that so I don't get so crushed as last year ?
  3. It is something else. If I remember correctly, last year they sent an email early April to say that we would be receiving an email to set up the extranet (what an unnecessary hear attack that email caused) and then they sent out the extranet info at the end of April (I got it April 28) and the results were already uploaded when I signed in. Good luck everyone, the closer it gets to the last week of April, the harder the wait! FYI, this is my third time applying, first time didn't make it out of the university, last year made it to the final round with a relatively high score (close but no cigar). Just remember it is not a reflection on the worth of your scholarship if you don't get it (or so I keep telling myself :-))
  4. Still no extranet email for me either. Somewhat regret giving into the urge to check this thread again. It sounds like you all at amazing proposals with those scores, I am so sorry to everyone who didn't get it, and congratulations to those that did!
  5. While the uncertainty is not comfortable, it could also very well be that your supervisor was working with a draft of something they had written last year (if this isn't your first rodeo for a grad progess form) and genuinely hadn't realized the mistake. There is hope for you yet! I honestly feel that no one knows yet for sure. SSHRC, keeping its secrets close to the vest... I was really hoping that today might be the day the extranet access emails went out, and even though I have received a MILLION emails today, not a one has been from SSHRC ?
  6. I am really sorry to hear you didn't get it, and how you found out ? If anyone lets it slip they should just confirm, our nerves can't take anymore! I also wanted to say this is my first time posting, but I have been following this forum for the last month and have found immeasurable comfort in it. No one else in my cohort applied so reading about how we are all anxiety ridden has made me feel a little better about myself and general lack of productivity in the last week. This is my second time applying, first time didn't make it out of the graduate school level so this is my first time with the April wait and it is...not great. Good luck to everyone!
