Thank you for your reply, that is helpful! Sorry to ask another question about this haha, but does anyone know if Alberta counts courses that were retaken, like ORPAS does? I.e. if you took a course in first semester third year, but then redid it, would the first mark be counted?- 1,373 replies

AH, sorry, you're right! I misread that - looks like just winter 2020 is not counted. Does that mean that it still would count though for your 60 credits, and your grades would be calculated based off like 15 classes instead of 20?- 1,373 replies

Hey guys! I was wondering about Alberta's gpa calculation, does anyone know forsure how we can calculate what our gpa would be for our applications there? I think I saw that they are excluding winer 2021 grades, but last year when I was thinking about applying it looked like they were omitting winter 2020 grades, because Alberta made all grades pass / fail. Does anyone know if 2020 grades are now being considered, or if they send out a gpa calculation like orpas does? I know it won't help at all lol but I just am worried that my Alberta application gpa will be significantly lower if some of my upper year grades don't count. Thanks in advance!!- 1,373 replies

^ This! As well as I just wanted to mention that while CDA helps with practical experience, those grades will not count towards your sGPA.- 1,373 replies

Hi there, I hope everyones applications are going well!! I have a couple last minute questions about Alberta. I was wondering, could anyone please confirm that when we upload our letter of intent, resume, and pre-requisite course list that we do so in the spots that say Department Check 1, Department check 2, and Department check 3 (and if the order matters)? As well, if we have to upload a new transcript with updates to our courses / grades does anyone know how we do that?- 1,373 replies

YES oh my gosh - it's like you read my mind and said everything I was thinking! I calculated what I think my sub GPA for ORPAS is so many times and am hoping that that number was correct. Fingers crossed for all of us!!- 1,373 replies

Hi, I asked this same question last week and got a reply from janet that said this: it is a bit tricky for sure. Your referee would speak to your professionalism, work ethics, punctuality, etc. Just not speaking about your clinical abilities- 1,373 replies

(reposting this bc I don't think it posted before) Hi guys, best of luck to everyone on this application journey! I had a question regarding U of A's application, because it seems a little unclear in the wording. Once you create an application, do you only have 21 days to finish uploading your course lists, statement of intent, and CV as well, or is it just to pay your fee, upload your transcripts, and submit and then you will be able to go back and add stuff in? I started mine because I thought it was the latter but based off the notification that it will expire in 21 days, it is looking like everything must be uploaded including the statement and CV within 21 days of starting the application.- 1,373 replies

Hi everyone, sorry to ask another gpa question, but I was wondering if anyone on here had been accepted with a 3.74 sub-gpa anywhere in Canada? Hoping to get some hope from someone

Hello all, I hope everyone is getting the results they are hoping for! I was curious if anyone had been accepted with a 3.73 sub gpa? I have received mostly A's except for one awful 55 in stats that I retook, but it looks like OPRAS will still calculate the original mark as I took it in 3rd year. Was curious if anyone had gotten in with this average, to give me some hope?:)

Congrats on your acceptances wow!! If you don't mind me asking, when people talk about their sGPA are they referring to the ORPAS score or the way the individual school calculates it? I am planning on applying for the first time this year and am a little confused how people are calculating their scores. Thank you in advance!!
