Not sure if this is useful to anyone (because I did not know this thread existed haha) but I recently accepted a CGS-M at Ryerson!

Hi everyone! I thought it would be helpful to share that I received an official letter of acceptance from Ryerson earlier today. I'm more than happy to share POI initials if you want to DM me. To the best of my knowledge, Ryerson is contacting accepted applicants over the next few days.

My biggest note with this one is that if it doesn't happen your first or second time around please keep trying and do not get discouraged. Continue to gain more experience and follow your path!!

Received an acceptance to SFU today! PM for details and POI!

Was just accepted at SFU! I got an email from the PI as well as from the Department Chair PI: SZ 
I am lucky in that this is my first cycle. However, I was applying with 4 years of research experience, 2 ongoing manuscripts, 1 submitted manuscript, and 3 poster presentations. I'm happy to chat with anyone who didn't get in as well if needing feedback on application materials and such

I'm sorry to hear that you didn't move forward! It's probably difficult right now, but I hope you feel a sense of accomplishment for getting the pre-interview in the first place.
 
No worries if you aren't comfortable responding, but did you get an email saying you will not be moving forward? Or did you find out another way?

Unfortunately didn't get extended a formal invite after pre-interviewing with AK. Good luck to those who are shortlisted for Ryerson Visiting Day! 

Hi, I heard from them in early January for a prelim interview and was told I'd hear about the 'short-list' (those invited to the interview weekend) by late jan/early feb 

My thoughts/opinion.... 

I think it's worth reflecting on wether you are also interested in the research topics/coursework of these other programs. If you are, then it's definitely worth it!! Would you be happy taking those programs if they didn't help lead to a clinical psych degree later? If no, then it might not be a good fit. If the masters degrees are worthy education for you, then it could be a huge bonus if they also help lead to a clinical degree later - but if that's you're primary/only motive then I would put some more thought into it (in my personal opinion). 

Has anyone heard anything from UBCV, UBCO, or Manitoba?

Gaaaaah... it's only been a decade of work to get here (no, I'm not kidding) and I was starting to feel really old. 
After receiving the email I was half numb and half freaking out and kept asking everyone if it's normal. It doesn't really feel real yet and I'm still in anxious/panicky mode somewhat. However, I do plan on taking the weekend off and just unwind. Get in touch if you're considering Dal or just have questions, I'm around.

I also want to pipe in on the holiday break. I'm a current program student and I can tell you my advisor(s) started emailing me back today, late afternoon - for things that I emailed over the break and ongoing things that need some pretty urgent attention. They are JUST getting back to their computers and have to play catch up with the 12 000 emails they missed and get their bearings. Likely admission committees will be coming together soon - but often the actual POI you are hoping reads your application and reaches out to you doesn't even know your application exists yet. It has nothing to do with your application, they just aren't there yet. Give it some time. Then the whole fiasco with omicron and lots of schools have shifted online, some activities had to apply for exemptions for in-person, last-minute faculty meetings to figure it out. It's a mess. It will take a hit on delaying everything. I truly do get how anxiety-inducing this waiting limbo season is - I don't anything has remotely compared to how anxious I felt this time last year, but I hope this helps at least one person even feel a little better.

Date of invite: January 5
Date of interview: February 11 (meeting with POI followed by a meeting with staff, post-docs, and grad students) 
I got a direct email from the POI. I didn't have an informal interview with them and it seems like the interview may be combined with interview day? This is my first time interviewing with this school so if anyone has some insight please let me know!
