  9. I am from the continent but gained my undergraduate degree in Scotland, and now finishing up Master's in Scotland as well. Yes, financially it makes sense to leave the sinking ship now. Britain still offers fantastic undergraduate education but for postgraduate education the States seems a financially safer bet. Well, in my case anyway.

  14. If you do decide to apply to the States, you are at the very beginning of a long application road. Your grades are good - top 1% is excellent - so no worries there. Keep up the good work. Whether you need practical experience or not depends entirely on the programme you are applying to. It wouldn't hurt to substantiate your academic achievements with some professional experience. Now, as for the Ivy League, do some research on schools you would like to study at. Many fantastic business schools are not in the 'Ivy League'. The 'Ivy League' also includes some schools where, at a closer look, you would not want to be at. You need to spend lots of time on the websites of those schools, looking through admissions requirements, programme overviews and faculty lists. The very best to you for the next year!

  22. Yes, provide as much official documentation as possible. It cannot be too much! It may feel like exposing your family's personal info to strangers but it is worth it if you manage to get a desired waiver!

  25. Requested all the same places in the same price range yesterday. Mon Dieu, we may end up sharing a flat then. The question is how they determine one's Russian-ness: by citizenship? (do they even have access to that info? university obviously does but does student housing?)... by name? When they see my name, I am sure they will know. I really want Rains!!!
