So I am deciding between the Religion programs at Syracuse and University of Florida! I need help. Any thoughts on these two very different programs?
  2. I don't know if anyone on the board attends, or applied to UF, but I am wondering about its reputation, and the general impression the program gives off? Any thoughts would be appreciated http://web.religion.ufl.edu/graduate.html
  3. Ah me too, same track. I called last week, they said decisions will be finalized this week! I really hope it's good news
  4. Accepted in the AM program..25% funding.
  5. Ah I see. Seems like a good reason. So many languages! Thanks for the clarification. Good luck
  6. I'm still waiting to hear back too. What area did you apply for? Doesn't seem like they've made decisions yet. I'm tempted to email the dept, but I am going to wait it out another week or so. Let's keep each other updated!
  7. Just out of curiousty, why would you apply to the AM program if you already have a MTS? I was under the impression they are very similar degrees, but I could be wrong.
  8. In at Univeristy of Florida (Americas Track). First alternate for funding. very excited!
  9. Finished my applications, just waiting to hear back now! Applied to HDS (MTS), Drew University (MA), Chicago, Syracuse, UF-Gainesville and UCSB. Good luck to everyone.
  10. did you all hear on friday? wahh i didn't get an e-mail....but i'm still hopefull!
  11. congrats! any word on funding?
  12. I'm waiting to hear from The Grad Center for Sociology too! Similar stats as yours, lower undergrad GPA, same Masters GPA (Library & Info. Science), 700V 680Q, 5AW. I have some research experience, pretty good reccomendations, too. Really good fit, there are several profs I want to study/work. But I am nervous! We'll see pretty soon, last year I believe decisions were made around this time.
