Just got my waitlist notification from UConn. They also invited me to the prospective student weekend. Will most likely decline since I have offers at other schools.
I emailed UVA and they told me that I was neither accepted nor on the waiting list. So there's that. Nothing is finalized yet, though, so to those who are still holding out hope, good luck!
I agree with the poster above. Just be completely honest and open. They've already found you; you can't really help that anymore. Thank them for their interest and explain your situation in as much detail as you have provided here. Good luck!
Looks like someone got a heads up about a potential interview with Yale over email earlier today. (It's on the Results forum.) They must have started reviewing files already. Intriguing.
I took the test on November 24 (was scheduled to take it much earlier, but tropical storm Sandy had other ideas and re-scheduled my appointment). I know my V and Q scores, but not my writing score.
Should I just leave that part blank in an application that's due tomorrow?
Should I report a writing score from a previous GRE I took (it was pretty decent last time, 5.0)?
Any wisdom would be appreciated.
I used to be an MAR at the Div School. Graduated two years ago. I would email their admissions person (Sean) and ask him to put you in touch with students in your area directly. They are generally pretty responsive, and I think you'll find contacting them directly useful.
GWU - I'm in the same boat as @chambjn and @rjsmith1031. Really hoping that the university will be able to find funding for those who want to attend. Guessing I'll be seeing some of you at the informational meeting at the end of March in D.C.
I emailed Indiana at the beginning of last week. Here is the response I got from the DGS on February 21, 2012:
"We are nearing the point when we can send out notifications, but are not quite there yet."
