Maybe they just sent emails to people bothering them too much! Or NYU isn't done with MA admissions yet?

Could use some good news just about now! I know it doesn't make any sense but it feels like every passing day decreases my chance of admission...

Claiming the NYU rejection. Expected at this point! Still stings, and got my adrenaline flowing for a little!

We actually had inside info on Columbia that said late last week or early this week!

Some don't keep up. Many of t he places do have this info on their websites, though, even if they don't update the honestgradnumbers thing, e.gl Columbia...

Tomorrow is not beginning of the week any more! *grumble grumble*

Anyone else think schools have just forgotten about us? Maybe they decided there's enough Poli Sci PhDs out there, and therefore aren't admitting any more, and we'll get a response in 2020, when the backlog is placed?

Good info! I asked not to be considered to their MA program, so still counting that as a rejection!

Princeton is apparently another repeat offender, in that their rejection email has been having a grammatical error for a while now (they also have, for a while now, had different fonts in there...)! Not sure why noone bothers to correct it, as it would be an easy fix!

I had heard of a UCSD exodus in AP. they do seem willing to adress this problem, though, which is good! I'm also wondering whether the smaller class sizes might not actually work to students' advantage. Placing is impressive, from what I gather?

I wonder who they're talking about! Sounds like those that are going to UCSD for AP (especially) should be asking their PoIs some hard questions. I dont think it will be very relevant for me personally, though. Really hoping they'll be able to fill the GT position next cycle! Guess we have accepted this doc as real, them?

Last week. Sent an email on the 12th, got this on the 13th: " We should be alerting you with our final decision shortly. Thank you for your patience. Best wishes, SG" (edited for anonimity)

I emailed NYU last week. He said "shortly", which means something different to him than to me, I'm pretty sure (as for me, it meant within hours^^).

You seem to have been doing great! Congrats! For me, I'm always a couple of steps ahead in my mind, so I can't be happy until I know all my options and decide (which probably won't be before April). I also had a pretty cool Plan B, which I was excited about (granted, not as excited as doing a PhD), and feel a lot of pressure to make the right decision, which doesn't really help, I feel. I did mention before that I'm a worrier, didn't i?

Same here. Columbia and Stanford for me, though! One of them would be good, both would be great! I wanna plan my visitations/flights etc.!

I realize that. However, wouldn't they have just admitted less students this year then, if they were aiming for less people. Since they were not sure about the outcome of the hiring thing when they wrote this document, they must have written it before making decisions (the MR thing has been clear since August...). Do we know who the GT offer went out to, BTW?
