Anyone know how to go about looking for roommates? I'm going to email the English administrative assistant but I don't know if that is the correct person to go through.

I went there as an undergrad in case you want any advice on Blacksburg, apartments, etc.

I will be starting my English MA at Wake in the fall. I can't wait, it was my top choice by far. I'm already getting frustrated with the apartment search but I know it's probably far too early for that.

I will be getting my Master's in English this fall. I have received a substantial scholarship but still owe a small amount each semester. I've read many posts in which someone complains about the small $500 or $1000 scholarships that one can get for submitting an essay. I would just like to know where to find such scholarships. I know that there are many, many options but I really can't seem to find any. I've googled it and looked through a couple hundred but they are mostly for people who live in a specific county. I don't need a huge scholarship (and am very grateful that that is the case) but I can't find any of the small ones that people keep mentioning! If anyone could direct me toward some options I would appreciate it very very much. Congratulations to all of you who have received good news from your schools!

I have applied for a Masters in English at Wake Forest and Villanova. I have been in touch with graduate directors/assistants throughout the application process and recently told them that I would like to visit the campuses and wanted to know if the directors or any professors would be able to meet with me. The Villanova director said she would be glad to meet and I am going up there on Monday for an informal meeting; no one has referred to it as an interview. I am also touring around campus with her assistant, who has been very helpful to me throughout the process. Wake Forest responded and said that I can attend a class, meet with and a professor whose research interests intersect with mine. I got the impression that I was being a bit of a nuisance by asking about a visit, but I would think that others have asked to meet with professors/students. I would just like to know if any English applicants/students have met with WFU/VU professors or students and how things went. I don't know what to expect from either meeting but I suspect they will be quite different.
