  2. As a neuroscience applicant, I would definitely recommend having 2 semesters of general chemistry, 2 semesters of organic chemistry, and a general chemistry lab and an organic chemistry lab. I think physics is less important but I would still recommend having at least one semester. There are some post-bacc programs that could give you the opportunity to take these classes. Alternatively, you could apply to grad school in psych, which would probably not require all of the above. Out of curiosity, what school do you go to? It surprises me that a biology department doesn't require any chemistry; I know in my department we actually have to take more chemistry courses than bio for the bio major.
  3. That is horrifying to think about.
  4. Congrats!! I hope there wasn't just one round for my own sake Although I kind of think so because any others would probably have to go out after the holidays and it seems weird to split them like that
  5. Whoever posted on the survey about a rockefeller acceptance-- did they also call? did they send it to your home or school mail? did you get an email? etc etc
  6. Sorry to hear this. Surprised that MIT is sending out already...

  8. Put them in alphabetical order, if you don't mind!
  9. Just bold the ones you added
  10. Thought this might be a helpful thread. When you post your dates, copy and paste the list from the person above you and insert your schools in alphabetically. Bold the schools you added so we know what is new. To start: Harvard (Neuro): Jan 19-22 Northwestern (Neuro: NUIN): Jan 19-20, Feb 2-3, Feb 23-24 UPenn (Neuro): Jan 20, Feb 10
  11. A friend heard from Cornell development today
  12. Good luck! The interview dates are Jan 20 and Feb 10, so there's quite a bit of time where they could contact you. Keep us updated!!
  13. For an interview at upenn neuro!!! Soooo excited! This is the school that only admitted 16/250 last year! Ah!!!
  14. Would you really? I am aiming to go to 5 or fewer interviews. One of my friends last year got admitted everywhere (literally-- Harvard, Yale, MIT, Columbia, Berkeley, etc) and cut down to 5 interviews, and still said she was exhausted after. Additionally, my PI doesn't want me gone for that long because of research. Thanks both of you! It's just nerve wracking to see other people get interviews while you wait
  15. Ag! Either neuro is super slow or Columbia and uchicago don't want me. But congrats!
  16. My friend just got an email invite to UChicago, molecular biosciences. Didn't get a phone call, just email. I've heard nothing from UChicago neuro.
