  1. congrats to both of you! @sonya87, thank you for the info. -- && I still haven't heard anything back from the program yet either
  2. ....@Sonya87, have you heard anything yet?
  3. Then I don't know...I guess the best bet would be to call... or wait until you hear something.
  4. I couldn't find it on their site, but I think it just means that interested applicants can no longer apply for Fall 2012 entry. So if you got your application in before that was put up, you will still be considered.
  5. U of T MPP Fall 2012: I called on Monday to enquire about my application, she said she thinks I am on the wait list if I haven't heard anything, but would check & get back to me...I didn't hear back, so I emailed her today..I can't really make a good enough guess as to the process/timelines at this point--so it leads me to these questions: Does anyone know how long applicants who were offered 2nd round offers have to accept?? (At least I think they are 2nd round offers, they were extended last week I believe). Does anyone know whether the class is full yet?? Thanks
  6. For anyone waiting on the MPPA program at Ryerson: I called last week & they said they would have the notifications done by the 30th of April. I called on Monday the 30th of April && the same lady said that they are still going through the admissions process, even though they had hoped to have them done by now. She said that they had just finished going through the A students, & now have moved down the grading list. She also said that she couldn't give a time line as to when more notifications may be out. Has anyone been rejected by Ryerson's MPPA program yet?? Does anyone know anything about how Ryerson extends offers/notifications??
  7. It wouldn't let me edit my previous post, but I double-checked with my friend..She received her rejection email from u of T for the MPP program last wednesday on the 25 April. @gopher47, I think generally they request for you to send your complete official transcript with all of your grades etc...But if you're really anxious, just call them and ask their procedure.
  8. For anyone who is waiting on u of T's MPP program, a friend of mine said she got rejected last week (I will double check this though with her and edit this post)... && on their website it says all successful applicants will be notified by tomorrow. I was about to call Anita when I read this on their website last week, so I decided to hold-off.....I don't know if I should call tomorrow, however. For anyone curious, my application status on their website is still under review!
  9. Thank you lexipedia--sorry I didnt get back to you sooner I didn't have internet for a while.I will definitely call Anita and ask. @NeeNee, thank you for letting us know what she said!
  10. Has anyone heard anything from U of T's MPP program? My status still hasn't changed from Under Review, and there hasn't been much activity for the program on the results survey. Have rejections gone out? Does anyone know when acceptances MAY roll out if they haven't already?? I think I read somewhere on the forums that they doubled the program size, could this be a cause as to why notifications are taking longer??! (or was I dreaming?) At this point I feel my chances look grim.. Does anyone know anything??? >__<
  11. Urbanaut, have you heard anything yet from the MPP program @ u of t??? mine still says under review, and I haven't heard anything from them.
  12. Thank you:)-- I had no idea the waiting would be this bad after spending all those hours on my letter of intent--i thought, it can't be as bad as this! I was wrongggg! I'm hoping to move out East as I've always wanted to live there (I don't know why, it's something irrational!) I guess most students apply to the same schools--if they have the grades for one, they usually have them for the others too. I applied to SFU because it's close to home (incase I chicken out and change my mind ) & I know they have a strong program with good connections to government after completion, which is important for me.. (If I get in is another story though:( !) Top choices: Carleton/Queens are joint first for me. Carleton has such a strong, comprehensive program. I think they're one of the oldest programs in Canada & it's in Ottawa which is a big plus for jobs after. Queens because their program is also strong, but what really attracts me to their program is that it's only a year long. If I had to pick between the two, I don't know what I would do! Toronto is also definitely up there for me too, but if I am so fortunate that I can choose between Carleton/Queens also, I don't know...Here's hoping that I get into one of the schools lol !
  13. Thank you for sharing...that's a fair amount of time they give you to decide..I guess I should relax a bit until April then! I have applied to a similar list as you: Carleton, Queens, Toronto, Ryerson & SFU. I haven't heard back from any of the schools yet though, the wait is killing me!!
  14. If you don't mind me asking, I'm just curious about how long you both have to respond to the respective programs? Sorry it's my first time I'm applying and I was told accepted students had 2 weeks to respond with their decision? I'm hoping it will help with the wait for those of us still waiting; perhaps I will check my e-mail less frequently knowing that schools aren't extending more admission offers until a certain date.
  15. Congratulations! Those are all wonderful programs to gain admission to, so no wonder you're having a tough time deciding! I am not deciding between the 3 programs, but I'll offer my 2 cents anyway & I'll do this objectively ..If I were you, I would make a list and ponder the following: 1) I think you should consider your future goals.. How long do you want to be a student? Do you have further educational goals? With this also comes financials. 2) How big of an issue is money for you? Funding, or can you do without? 3) Which program fits more closely with your future goals (as you pondered above) & are you excited about attending this school? Any particular faculty members you would like to work with? Hope it helps, let us know what you decide!
  16. Congratulations!.. which schools are you deciding between?
  17. It's good you're getting it out of your system & into the "open"--It's one step to processing all of your emotions so that you can decide your next step. Like everyone else said, definitely don't give up because you do certainly sound qualified, motivated & disciplined.. You will get in, just keep trying. Besides with all the doors shut (for now), another door will open. It always does. Whether you go out and actively try something or you just happen to bump into it, things will be okay.
  18. :o I forgot about spring break!!!! *cries* I emailed them since I doubt they'll ever answer their phones & I refuse to play a one-sided game of phone-tag. One had an automated reply, apparently their adcom isn't meeting until "early" March...! Makes me feel a bit better knowing that I'm not rejected (yet). && thank you Oseirus.
