Just got the CGS here in Montreal! My score was 26.6 out of 30! I am going to Columbia in NYC though, so I'll have to downgrade to 20,000 for four years, but that is fine as Columbia is also giving me amazing funding for five full years! I am on the moon!

I am American by birth but have lived in Canada for several years--my entire undergraduate education and MA was completed in Quebec. I was rejected from a variety of programs (Harvard Th.D; UT-Austin; Northwestern), but was accepted to Columbia University with a full package for "History of Christianity". Moreover, I have an interview in the Department of German Studies at Princeton (with an emphasis on medieval German literature), which looks very hopeful! I am still waiting to hear from Harvard (Ph.D) and Chicago. I will be very happy to accept Columbia's gracious offer, regardless of other offers!
