  1. I am going to graduate school at Windsor U come September and have never been to Windsor before! Can anyone suggest where students mostly live? I think I'd like to live downtown but I have no idea where that is. Did anyone do undergrad there or live there??
  2. Thank you! I have a feeling good news will be coming your way sometime soon too
  3. Thank you! That is a very good question. Though I think I am much more interested in counselling and the courses offered at Adler (and Vancouver is awesome), I think there may be more job security going with Social Work. That and the fact that it's a publicly funded school makes it 15k cheaper/year. Also it's a lot closer to home. So that's where my head is at the moment.
  4. For anyone who's still waiting on Windsor - just got my acceptance yesterday morning. there is still hope yet. good luck everyone
  5. Hey all, For those of you still waiting on Windsor like me I spoke to the dept. just now. So what she told me seemed to slightly contradict what I was told before but here it goes: she said about 6-7 spots left. about 40 are still on the waiting list. and it could take until *hopefully* the end of the month (which she said was normal for them, however a month ago I was told end of June, first week of July). Regardless, there's still hope for us yet.
  6. Oh speaking of BSW - Does anyone know of any universities that are still accepting applicants? The few I've looked at closed already - anyone know of any I may have overlooked?
  7. I'm right there with you. At least you have two schools though - double the chances! Yes, I spoke to social work admissions at Windsor this morning.
  8. Sorry maybe less than 95 if people factoring in that those that were offered admission could have declined
  9. They said that they sent out 90 rejections to the lowest ranked applicants at the time they sent out the first round of acceptances. They have filled 15/30 spots thus far. They had about 200 applicants to begin with. So by that math there are 95 that are either on the wait list or have to yet to respond to their acceptance offer. Rejections won't be sent out again until all the spots are filled. They said this could take until the end of the month or even until the beginning of July. Sigh
  10. I am waitlisted at Windsor and the wait is killing me. I have an acceptance at Adler in Vancouver and need to decide if I want to move to the other side of the country but would much rather stay in Ontario and go to Windsor. Ack, I need to know like now. If I'm ranked low on the wait list than it doesn't make sense to wait but for all I know I could be next in line (but that's also doubtful). Ugh. Has anyone heard back recently?
  11. Congrats!! Did you find out by checking online or snail mail?
  12. I decided to call - For all those still waiting like me I was told that the first acceptances have two weeks to respond (and were sent last week I believe). After that time the next round goes out, then the next, and the next, until the program (30 spots) is filled. So essentially if you haven't heard yes or no at this point it's like being on an unofficial wait list. She said it could take up to a few months until they are filled. Good luck at Laurier !
  13. Does anyone know when Windsor sends out the second round of acceptances/rejections? Mine reads "referred to Dept" still
  14. It does say that on the website, which is why I was hopeful. However on my rejection notice it said that most have an A- average and it was either 3-5 or 4-5 years of paid/volunteer work in human services (I can't remember the wording they use for the field, but you get the drift). Sorry, I threw it out immediately out of anger lol
  15. Got my rejection letter from Laurier's 2 year program yesterday. Congrats to all those who got in! Still waiting to hear from UofT, York, and Windsor
  16. Ah, I got rejected from Queen's also. And York. Haven't heard from anywhere else yet. Where else did you apply?
  17. Anyone hear anything yet? Rejections, interviews, acceptances?
  18. Hi I was wondering how they contacted you to let you know your admission status -or did u check online?
  19. Not sure how recent this is. Called the admissions office this morning. Said they only contact via mail. All decisions have been made. They send out the mail in chunks, depending on where you live, not by whether you were accepted or not. Could be received as late as early April (so next week)
