I would also like to know this. And perhaps how many they are planning to accept if they divulged. But, at this point, I'm just hoping to be on their waitlist.
-
Okay, when I said, "Let's go, Virginia..." I meant 'send me an acceptance'. Come on.
-
Woo! So excited for you!
-
Anyone claiming Wisconsin? I'm nervous once again...
-
Thanks! And good luck! It's the silence that's especially annoying—especially as these programs have released decisions around this time in years past.
-
Alright. Let's go Virginia, Indiana, and Rochester!!!!! Let's not have a repeat of yesterday's silence.
-
Awesome!! Congrats!
-
Thank you so much! I'm hoping to have as kind a cohort as the folks here. And congrats on Loyola-Chicago!! I'm not sure how I missed that! There's some great people there.
-
Thank you all so much!! Yay!! I'll take one Chandler Bing, please!
-
Thank you, both!! And, @Kingoftherats, I would have upvoted but I ran out.
-
Haha! Thank you so much! I was obviously getting desperate there.

JUST ACCEPTED TO UCSB!! I needed this badly. I was shutout last year, and this was my last shot. My only worry now is funding. No word on that yet. If I can't get the funding, I can't go. Hoping it works out.

If anyone has any insight into whether Santa Barbara is finished with acceptances, I'd be very interested to hear it. I've seen acceptances in past years spread out, so I'm curious if there is reason to think that will be the case once again.
-
Does anyone want to claim the Santa Barbara acceptance? I'm very much hoping for an email. I'm curious when this was received.
-
Anyone have any idea if Chapel Hill is done sending out acceptances?
-
Does anyone want to claim the Berkeley acceptance? I'm curious whether it was a fellowship offer. I can't recall whether UC-B releases over a couple of days or in one fell swoop.
-
ahhhh!!! (also, thanks.)

I was wondering that as well. Though, like @Witsclaw, I'm not sure how it would delay admissions. In any case, I'm looking forward to next week. Should be yuge—big league (better?). p.s. You've got UConn's seal up for Cincinnati.

Don't get me wrong. I love the west coast. But I can't stand having to wait until later in the day for their decisions. Sad.

I'm curious what 'deemphasized lately' amounts to. If you could clarify, that'd be great. Does it mean they don't plan to hire someone whose AOS is metaphysics? Or does it mean they just haven't currently been focusing on metaphysics?
-
I'm just curious. For those of you that don't post your GRE scores in the description of your results, why? It's anonymous. And especially if you're accepted somewhere—and say your GREs are bad—that only makes your success that much sweeter, yeah? And, further, it's helpful for other prospective applicants to see these data points.

That makes sense! That could've just been an issue on my part. Congrats!

The new Brown notification is confusing. Anyone want to claim it and clear it up? I'm assuming it was a rejection, given the description.

Thanks for the support @desolesiii, @axiomness, and @necessaryandsufficient . To your point, @axiomness , I feel bad for some folks that just started there who had him as their POI. That would be difficult. My hope for both them and myself (if I get in) is that they have someone in the wings for metaphysics. I won't hold my breath for them having a phil religion person in the works, but that would be cool, too. @necessaryandsufficient: that's a bummer. I don't think that will be a big deal, though. But, for that reason and others besides, I didn't make my SOP very specific, for better or worse.
