  1. Anyone want to claim the recent Boulder acceptance? I'd like to know whether it was a fellowship offer or not. Wondering if I should just hope for a waitlist at this point.
  2. Yeah, don't count yourself out, but don't get your hopes up. I remember thinking I would get waitlisted at USC last year after the massive wave of rejections. Turned out that the second wave of rejections came the next day.
  3. I thought it had something to do with how much time passes after you've posted. But I'm not sure.
  4. I was just going to ask whether it was a fellowship offer. Then I saw your edit. Thanks for adding that. Hoping the next wave comes soon.
  5. That is certainly encouraging. Thank you for this.
  6. I'm also really hoping for Boulder. I'm even more anxious with the fellowships already released. I'm worried that all acceptances have gone out and we've only just heard of the fellowship acceptances.
  7. I'm still just flummoxed as to the lateness of Indiana at this point. It is seemingly unprecedented for them, at least judging from the past five years of acceptances.
  8. As others have pointed out, you might very well still be in the running. UCLA—much like UT Austin and some others—has been known to have a hidden waitlist (a waitlist to the waitlist, in effect).
  9. Yeah, I saw that about O'Connor awhile ago (Alex Pruss had a post about it awhile back). I made a hubbub about it a few weeks ago. In any case, Indiana is still attractive to me. Also, I'm anticipating (mostly hoping) that they will hire another metaphysician in his place.
  10. And what's up with Boulder? No more acceptances (non-fellowship)? Also it seems the gaps between acceptances and waitlists is especially large this year. That's lame. I'm on edge.
  11. Whoa Grad Cafe is back up! Now is my chance: WHAT IS GOING ON, INDIANA??! WHAT IS GOING ON MADISON AND SYRACUSE WAITLISTS??!!
  12. Got it. That makes sense. Though, to be fair, Indiana has released much sooner than the 17th (sometimes the 8th). But, in any case, the prediction does seem a tad early. Either way, I expect both very soon. I wish I could find reasons not to be anxious! This process is exhausting!
  13. Sorry, I'm a tad confused. Are you saying there is an error with the predictions?
  14. Nice! That's kind of you to conceal (I am now, in fact, stressed). Did they specifically mention that this was just a "first wave", so to speak, and that there would be more going out later?
  15. Does anyone have any further information about Boulder? I saw that the person who reported said they received their acceptance because of a fellowship. Any other details? Any indication when they will release other acceptances?
  16. Congrats to those Chapel Hill waitlists!! Any idea how long the waitlist is? Any indication? It seems, judging from past reports, that the waitlist is small.
  17. I'm hoping!!! Also: upvote for Fry.
  18. Seriously, what is up with the lateness of decisions this year??! Indiana, Arizona, waitlists for Madison and Chapel Hill??! Also how stress-inducing was grad cafe being down?! That was awful.
  19. Agreed. Also, it would be nice if those that are late re their predictions would release already (I'm looking at you, Arizona and Indiana!).
  20. Whoa, can it be true? Did Madison send another acceptance *today*? If anyone has any information about this, please share.
  21. I totally understand. Once again, thanks for being willing to run it. I also wanted to suggest a correction. You have Indiana down as releasing a decision on the 9th. But that's not their philosophy program, but their History and Philosophy of Science program, which is not what the prediction is supposed to track.
  22. @Sam Anscombe I realize you're probably quite busy, but I'm curious what is going on with the admissions site. Will it be updated soon? In any case, I'm grateful for your willingness to run it this season.
  23. Currently annoyed that it's the weekend and that this means we won't hear as much. Then again, I was waitlisted on a Saturday last year.
