I received an email last week from Zoe that read the following:

”Thanks again for participating in the interview process. We wanted to inform all applicants that the executive stream start date has been moved to September 2020 instead of June. We are hoping to send out admissions information in the next couple of weeks”.

Not sure if anyone else has received the same email but hopefully next week is when they start getting back to executive stream applicants.

thanks @jonesy1428 I received an email the last week of March with similar information. She said I'd hear from her within the next couple of weeks so was hoping I would have heard from her already since it has been 2 weeks as of yesterday

Has anyone heard back from waterloo yet?

As for Waterloo applicants, they've sent out a mass email saying this, "The School of Public Health and Health Systems has received an exceptional number of competitive applications this year. We are continuing to review applications and expect that you will receive a decision by May 1. We thank you for your patience as we navigate this new work environment."

Has anyone received a rejection lately? Did not hear back from Zoe last week and I'm now thinking if I should give up on waiting...

According to the email I received, they want a response by April 24, i'm guessing so they can gauge numbers in case theres a waitlist or something. I doubt rejections will come in before that! Good luck I hope you get an acceptance !! :)

is anyone debating between the 2 schools?

Yes, I got McMaster and UofT acceptance. I chose UofT!

Has anyone started a Facebook page for incoming students?

Hey guys! I am more or less new to the MHI scene, and I'll be applying to the Fall 2021 entry cycle (U of T). I'd love to hear from all applicants in this thread, ideally successful/waitlisted applicants, about a concern of mine, due to my less traditional background.

Short Summary

I am class of 2021 (Undergrad; Biochem w minors in Stats & Business; GPA is good but not stellar) with my final semesters being Stats & Business because of my minors (Mix of Accounting, IT, Marketing). I'm asking if I should try to fit some health sci/bio classes for relevance. Work experience (co-op/internships) is strong point of application (health admin, health tech, clinical work, non-health tech).

Long(er) Version

I've read that the program isn't very technical and most students/alumni, with which I've talked, have Life Sciences/Psychology/Health Studies/Nursing backgrounds. I have a Biochem degree (Class of 2021) but my last semesters have been Statistics and Business (Mostly Accounting, Information Systems, Marketing) classes due to my minors. Since they only consider your last 10 courses, I'm enrolling in a health science class on healthcare technology, but I fear that my last year of classes won't be relevant enough (GPA is over cutoff, but won't be extremely high).

Among my most recent classes (which they will consider) will be Applications of Stats in Business, Tech and Health, Managerial Accounting, Market Research, Management Information Systems, etc. I do have the option to fit in more biology coursework (computational bio, physiology) in the winter semester of 2021, but I fear that it'll be too late of a semester.

Professionally, I'll be applying with experience (co-ops/internships) in healthcare administration, health tech, non-health tech, and in the clinic. I think that my strong point will be my story. I'm just really concerned about their view on my coursework choice.

Has anyone applied with a less or non-life sciences background? Also, are interview invites rolling basis? I've read about processing of applications.

Congratulations to the incoming class! Hope to be part of the next batch!
