mariajsmith Posted December 17, 2019 Posted December 17, 2019 Received my first interview invitation this morning from UW-Madison for their Ed.S. program! sun_daisie and MGA87 2
MGA87 Posted December 17, 2019 Posted December 17, 2019 Hello everyone! I just found this thread and I am so glad I did. I have applied to 5 schools and I am terrified about it all. I have received an interview invite for one school, which I am very excited about, however nothing from my dream school (University of South Carolina). I have no idea about timelines and what to expect from this whole process. Anyone else feel overwhelmed and anxious? lol sun_daisie 1
vusdbstjs Posted December 17, 2019 Posted December 17, 2019 Has anyone had issues with Northern Illinois application? I could not upload one of my transcripts and the GRE score, so I reached out to the grad office and emailed those documents well before the deadline. After Dec 1, I was getting notifications that my application is still "awaiting materials", and when I contacted the office, they assured me that they have my materials and will be uploaded for review with the department. Since then, I see that my transcript has been uploaded but the GRE score has not been, and I got ANOTHER email last Friday saying my application is still "awaiting materials". It must be crazy over there too, but this is not helping with the heightened sense of anxiety that comes with the application season lol. Should I email/call them again??????

If the office said you are good than I would take their word for it. It is possible with the end of the semester that they were busy and have not been able to upload all of the material but I am sure it was put in with your file. I had issues uploading my transcript and GRE as well. It kept telling me the document was password protected. I had to go in and save it in a weird way. You could always call over there and just ask to check on your application. That way it does not look like you are following up on the same issue.
bminotti Posted December 18, 2019 Posted December 18, 2019 I also received an interview invite from FSU. I hope to hear back from more programs soon, but waiting is stressful. Everyone's posts are super helpful! I hope everyone can try to enjoy their winter break!

Thanks - relieving to know that I wasn't the only one having issues with transcript and GRE upload. I was hesitant to email them again because I had already contacted them about it. I'll wait and see; thanks!

angelakat Posted December 19, 2019 Posted December 19, 2019 I applied to the University of Maryland, University of North Carolina-Charlotte, and James Madison University. I have my Ed.S. and have applied to some other schools for other PhD programs as well that match my research interests. I have not heard from anyone but do not think I will hear until January, at the earliest, for some and maybe even February for others. For those trying to figure out possible timelines, look up your schools/PhD program in the interviews section and base it on past information from previous years. am04334, RTIAssessmentsandIEPsOhmy and Vanilla Bean 3

I’m trying to be patient too, though rather unsuccessfully. I have received a couple of other interviews, but UNC is my top choice!

Vicky Wang Posted December 29, 2019 Posted December 29, 2019 Hello everyone, I also apply for School Psychology/Educational Psychology for 2020 fall. And I have applied for 7 schools. SouthernFlowers Posted December 29, 2019 Posted December 29, 2019 Hi all, I have applied to 5 School Psych doctoral programs for 2020. I have 3 more left to submit in the upcoming days and 1 more to submit in a few weeks. Just stopping by to send some encouragement to all who are waiting (: I'm right there with you! stressedyetblessed Posted December 30, 2019 Posted December 30, 2019 Has anyone received an invite for the University of Oregon PhD??? I am currently a Central Michigan University MA student but want to switch over to the doctoral program. I saw that one person indicated they received an interview invite 4 days after the application process. However, in the last 6 years or so, they have sent invites beginning of January. Do people ever lie on here? They were applying for the masters program, but the PhD and MA invites and rejections/acceptances have typically been the same time on here. I am just anxiously waiting for an email or SOMETHINGGG. The dash board does not say anything either -- it just indicates "pending" for department decision. Help please RTIAssessmentsandIEPsOhmy 1
SouthernFlowers Posted December 31, 2019 Posted December 31, 2019 Hi all, Has anyone submitted an application but had trouble finding the link to pay the actual application fee?
fake187 Posted December 31, 2019 Posted December 31, 2019 Can the person who received an interview from Temple message me their POI if they feel comfortable?
MGA87 Posted January 5, 2020 Posted January 5, 2020 How is everyone doing with interview invites and managing anxiety? Are you hearing from your schools of interest?
Centralnervous Posted January 6, 2020 Posted January 6, 2020 I haven’t heard anything from the schools I’ve applied to yet. Probably won’t hear back until mid March. I hope sooner though!
mcgonagal Posted January 6, 2020 Author Posted January 6, 2020 Anyone going to the "Applicant Day" tomorrow at the University of Minnesota?

Help please I think it still qualifies as the "beginning of January!" I don't think people on the results page lie - but again they could I guess. I don't see what the motivation to do so would be as it's anonymous? I totally get your anxiety though! I've been checking every few hours in hope of good (or any!) news! Good luck and I hope you hear back this week!

One of the invites I received was from one of my top schools. The interview is at the end of the month. It is the same time as this really important court hearing for work so I just do not expect to sleep much that week with all the nerves. I check this site way more than I should be during the work day but I am just so anxious to hear. My significant other is applying for Ph.D. programs in music theory so his anxiety adds to mine and now we are both just big balls of anxiety. I have been trying to throw myself into work to distract me. I have an app on my phone has helped easy some of my stress and anxiety. It also helps me wind down at night. I strongly recommended it to anyone who has trouble shutting down at night or just needs some midday relaxation. It is called "Calm".
angelakat Posted January 7, 2020 Posted January 7, 2020 Received a general email invite for interviews either Feb 6th or 7th from University of Maryland School Psychology PhD program.
