psychapplicant21 Posted July 18, 2020 Posted July 18, 2020 Apart from ASU and University of Utah - I was wondering if anyone knows what other Clinical programs offer speciality training in health psychology as part of the Clinical Ph.D program? Thanks!
Rerun Posted July 18, 2020 Posted July 18, 2020 Hi there, I am only aware of the one in UNC Charlotte https://healthpsych.uncc.edu/concentration-areas/clinical Good luck!
SendMeAnEmailPlz Posted July 19, 2020 Posted July 19, 2020 CUNY has a new program that was recently accredited on contingency https://www.cunyhpcs.org/
PsyDuck90 Posted July 19, 2020 Posted July 19, 2020 Yeshiva University also has a health psych PhD. Keep in mind that, by and large, PhD programs are relatively generalist and you get the majority of your specialty training via the research you do with faculty and your clinical experiences. Look at the research publications that interest you and find out where those people are. If you are looking for programs that are specifically billed as health psych, you will be closing the door on a lot of great programs that can get you the training you want.
SomeGreatNotion Posted July 20, 2020 Posted July 20, 2020 Ohio State University has a health psychology track nested in their Clinical Psychology program.
justacigar Posted July 20, 2020 Posted July 20, 2020 Are you interested at all in Clinical Health Psych programs? If so, CU Denver has a clinical health psych PhD
PsychApplicant2 Posted July 20, 2020 Posted July 20, 2020 I think UMiami has a health emphasis track.
psychapplicant21 Posted July 20, 2020 Author Posted July 20, 2020 Thank you so much everyone for your recommendations, they are really helpful!
Kiragracy Posted July 24, 2020 Posted July 24, 2020 Hope it's not too late to contribute, but University of Memphis, University of Utah, and University of Washington have Clinical Health tracks. Virginia Commonwealth University has a Ph.D. in Health Psychology. I'm interested in Clinical Health psychology too, so maybe we can help each other out!

psychhealth101 Posted July 27, 2020 Posted July 27, 2020 University of Florida, Northwestern Feinberg, SDSU/USD, UCLA
SomeGreatNotion Posted July 28, 2020 Posted July 28, 2020 I would also poke around on the Society of Behavioral Medicine (SBM) website. This is an annual conference attended by a lot of the health psychology researchers you would likely be interested in.
