I also got an interview invite to Stanford (CSB home program). There's a survey for us to fill out by Jan 14th so if anyone turns down the offer, they may send more out in the following week I'd guess?

Congrats on the interview! I applied to the cancer bio home program and haven’t heard back:( but I saw on last year’s forum+ result page that they send out invites for cancer bio around January 14-15th, hopefully it’s the same this year, keeping my fingers crossed haha

Hello everyone, I am an international applicant and I have not gotten any email from any of the programs applied to. Washington University in St. Louis, Dartmouth, MD Anderson, Baylor, Notre Dame, Case Western.  I don't even know at this point if it is a soft rejection, my friend  that we applied together got rejection from MD Anderson and Case Western already.

Did any of the stanford applicants also apply to the knight hennessy scholars program?

Yes! Did you? I got a cancer bio invite but still waiting on Knight Hennessy think they’ll get results out later in the month?

Congrats! I haven't heard anything from Knight Hennessy either. I do know they have sent out some video invites this week based on another forum. I'm still hopeful now that I've recieved a formal interview invite from the biosciences.

no interview officer or official rejection.

I'm not familiar with this either. Does this mean that some schools will ignore your application and not respond to you? At what point do you know if it's a silent rejection?

I haven't heard back from any of my schools yet but I just assumed it's because there's lots of applications. Should I be emailing the program coordinators?

Weil Cornell IMP just finished reviewing their first round interviews. Their email went into spam folder so I’d double check your spam. Their second round interviews + recruitment event will be hosted on Jan 26-28th virtually. Still anxiously waiting for MD Anderson…

It depends on the program. Some programs only send you a rejection letter when everything is said and done and all admits have been accepted. They might know now that they will reject you but they wait until the end to send all rejects at once. If you don't get an interview when they all have been sent out then it's probably going to be a rejection at the end. Some programs have haven't sent interviews yet, some do it in waves. Some send waves of rejections, it really depends on the program.

I think the interviews started going out around the second week of december, the admin office is usually two people if they missed your email I'm sure they wouldn't mind a polite reminder email. The number I heard was ~40 invited and the cohort is around 17 people. Both BCMB and CMM are supported via training grant unlike bigger umbrella programs though so if it is your top choice let them know that, they usually really try and send admissions to people they know will go there.

Thanks for the info! Oh well, it is what it is :)

Does anyone know if MIT Biology might still be sending interviews? I saw the only ones on the results page are from Americans, maybe they send later this year for international students:-? Does anyone have any info from the program?
