My research interests are in implementation science and behavioral health EBP, hopefully I will gain more informatics/digital health experiences during my doctoral training.

Waiting is so difficult! Patience is not one of my strengths lol. I'm really hoping to hear back next week so I can start making some decisions about other professional endeavors. Fingers crossed for all of us!

I received an email Saturday as an official rejection.  The most challenging part, for myself, is that as of now, this school is the most accessible.  I am unable to move.  In addition, I have been teaching at this institution so I feel the rejection more personally rather than distancing myself from it slightly.

I hope each of you had more success!!!

I'm sorry to hear this, thanks for the update. I imagine working at the institution makes the rejection more complicated, for sure. Do you think you will reapply in future, or?

I am still waiting to hear.

I won't reapply. I believe that I won't be accepted.  I have a 4.0, Master's scholar, worked on a IRB study in psych lab, two major presentations, etc.  I believe they view me as incompatible with the program broadly.  I am limited in terms of where I can apply, but I believe changing disciplines might help to either developmental psych or sociology.

Hi I wouldn't take it that way, this year I was rejected by two social work phd programs which I clearly know I am qualified for. Among the four social work programs I applied to, I have the best research match with Berkeley's POI and got rejected, I emailed him post rejection and asked for advices, he said I should keep doing what I have been doing, it's just that they need to prioritize faculty who hasn't taken on students recently. I also knew some admitted students and a current doctoral student there and all the information I gathered matched up with this story. So being rejected does not necessarily mean that they don't think you are incompatible. A lot of times it really is nothing personal. Maybe talking to admissions team or faculty at the program would help. Good luck!

Is anyone else still waiting to hear from any programs?

I still haven't heard from DU about my admissions decision. ? It's been almost 2 weeks since the admissions decision deadline listed on their website (April 15th). I have sent 2 emails (one to admissions and one to the assistant dean of doctoral ed) and left a voicemail (admissions office) but still haven't heard back.

The only person I have communicated with since submitting my application is the professor I listed on my application, who replied to my email with a very kind message indicating his interest in a possible partnership and availability of collaboration on several projects.

I applied to the final deadline (Feb 15), which is on a space-available basis, so I won't be surprised if I am not offered admission. I just find it so strange that they haven't replied to me at all. I'm not sure what to do next. Any advice would be appreciated!
