Update for those wondering/keeping track:

Waitlisted at Penn

Acceptances from UWash and UNC Chapel Hill

Interviews at USC and UCSB

All for phd in Classics. I have heard that UChicago and UCLA have sent communication to applicants.

Did you apply to classics or ancient history at Penn?

Congratulations to everyone who has gotten acceptances and interviews so far!!!

The friend I mentioned before who applied to the Yale Classics/Ancient History combined track did not receive an interview, but I see on here that Yale did send out interviews to at least the philology people. She is sad because Yale was her top choice, but she wants to double check that the Ancient History interviews have also been sent?Or did just the philology people get interviews? She emailed the DGS but got no response. Could anyone clarify/confirm this? Much appreciated, thanks!!!

My friend who I mentioned earlier got an interview early January is Ancient History and applied for the combined program through the classics department. He also got two more interviews scheduled when they invited some more people I believe. Sorry about the news!

Have been lurking for a while but figured I'd post:

UW, Columbia: accepted

UCLA: invited to their recruitment week. To my knowledge their funding situation is kind of wonky this year with the aftermath of the UC strike, not sure how this will play out in terms of acceptances

U-M Bridge decisions?

I was told that I'll be strongly considered for the Classics Bridge MA at U-M if either of the two current accepted applicants(congrats btw!!) decline their offers. Just out curiosity, if you are are of those who were accepted, how likely are you to go through with the decision? Asking so I can know to take this off of my "maybe I'll get lucky" list.

Anyone heard from Princeton or Stanford/has any idea what their timeline looks like?

Stanford has a second round of on-campus interviews coming up and Princeton will send out results in early March.

Congrats to everyone with offers so far! Please consider uploading your funding info to https://www.phdstipends.com/ - for better or for worse, the funding landscape for PhD students is changing at many schools, unionized and non-unionized alike, and transparency benefits everyone.
