I got it! I didn't think it was anything important though. They specifically said in the email that our answers would not be visible to admissions.

Thanks for letting me know. Which track did you apply? Reddit people told me that they are applying to Translational Molecular Medicine, Pharmacology, and Physiology. I'm curious if people received the questionnaire are those applied to this track.

Does anyone know if I'll be able to rotate in biomedical labs even as a biology phd student? I can't believe I'm so dumb wow. I feel like I should email the admissions people but then will that look bad that I didn't double check? Oh my god I'm so screwed lol pls help

Doing something now might turn against you as you said. You can ask them now whether they would transfer your application to biomed program if you get rejected here (like getting accepted for a Masters if PhD is rejected). Other thing you can do is, If you get accepted to Biology program, email the grad coordinator asking whether there is a way to transfer to Biomed program.

If the programs are offered by two different schools in NYU, it might be a long shot.

oof yep that's what I was thinking. Guess I'll just go with it for now and hope I can do something later after a decision! Thanks for the advice

Do anyone apply to the BSTP at case western reserve university? I did the early application and got an interview on November... I saw someone get admitted yesterday, but I didn't get any notifications since then... i guess I might get rejected or waitlisted.... Did someone has the same situation?

Hi y'all! Just gonna put my average stats here so that people can feel encouraged about it ?

Domestic applicant that graduated undergrad in 2020 with a 3.0 GPA and a bachelor's in science in biochemistry. Took a few more classes during my postbac to improve on my GPA.

I worked in industry for about 1 year and I am currently working at an institution as a research associate for about 1.5 years. No papers published, but 2 manuscripts are in preparation with me being 1st authors on both manuscripts.

Applied to schools: UMass Medical School, Albert Einstein School of Medicine, Rutgers University - Newark, University of Pittsburgh, University of Pennsylvania, University of Minnesota, Emory University, UC Davis, UC San Diego, and University of Washington (Either the biomedical program or immunology program for all institutions listed).

My stats are not the best so hopefully I give y'all a confidence boost ? but I hope I get into one program! Good luck to everyone!

BS in Biochemistry and Molecular Bio from an Ivy - 4.0 GPA

Domestic applicant - not URM

1.5 years of research in college, a summer in HS; no publications

Applied to: Harvard MCO, MIT Bio, Rockefeller, UCSF Tetrad, NYU Med/Vilcek, NYU Biology, Yale BBS, Princeton Molecular Bio, Weill Cornell, Columbia Vagelos, Icahn, Brown MCB

Interview (so far): Yale

I've seen several signs that Vilcek already sent out their interviews so that's probably a rip :c

Good luck y'all!!

For those that applied to Yale BBS, did you receive a supplemental questionnaire with 2 additional questions via email? I saw people talking on Reddit about it and they assumed everyone will receive it, but I did not receive any email from Yale at all.

I recieved a supplemental diversity questions. I'd say search up "yale upplemental diversity" on your email and it might pop up. What i know is that yale does not have a "secondary questionaires" whatever is in the app is it. the follow up diversity question I got is just so they can get a detailed sense for the applicant background and its not part of the application review as it was mentioned in the email.

Thanks for letting me know. I searched and checked my spam email but did not see it. Maybe because I'm international student. Not sure why? Anyway I just saw someone update interview offer from Penn IGG ? Have anyone heard from Penn IGG (Immunology) yet?

Guys, I just got an interview offer from Columbia University's Cellular and Molecular Physiology & Biophysics Program. I'm an international student so this is incredible. Interview in early January.

Congratulations! is this one in the integrated program? Is it more like a general invitation or very specific to your division?( Do you think each division in CMBS will send out the invitation separately or all together?) Thank you.

I applied to CMBS. But did not choose the umbrella program. Instead chose Cellular and Molecular Physiology & Biophysics Program as the primary interest and another department as the secondary.

These programs (as I have heard from students who are in those programs) usually evaluate applications separately. Each division will have separate evaluation and send out invites. Which division did you apply to?

@tiredgrad congrats! Similar profile as yours, but applied to Microbio, Immunology and infection division.

Statistics say 33% interview rate (300 applicants and 100 invites sent). Fingers crossed.

I heard this from a UCSF PI in the department I am working in. Take it with a grain of salt please! According to them, the UCSF Biomedical Sciences (BMS) Program shortlisting will happen this Thursday.
