Just out of curiosity—for those of you who received an offer, can anyone share how much stipend are they providing each year? Thanks!

One for 30k (12 mo) and one for 29k (9 mo)

Hey, I know Vanderbilt was doing interviews, does not getting an interview mean automatic rejection? With the Feb 6 release date coming up and no word I'm getting a lil nervous

Haven't heard back about interviews either. At least based on results from the last cycle, there are a few applicants who were not interviewed yet ended up with an offer of acceptance, and there were also some people who were invited to an interview but eventually rejected. So my understanding is that interviews does not apply to all shortlisted candidates or all subfields.

That's good to hear, still wish I got an interview but it is what it is. Also anyone got any updates on Michigan? Heard some chatter on the board a couple pages back but nothing new

I feel like the first batch of Michigan decisions are likely to be sent out on February 8, just like in the past two cycles. But it is still possible for the committee to alter the trend if the amount of applicants is too extreme.

Does anyone know if Berkeley subsidizes housing costs? I’m a bit concerned about being able to afford to live in the area with a grad students stipend.

I don't think they do. I know a guy at Berkeley (not political science) who is able to get by, but he shares a place with 5 other guys. He seems to think it is doable if you are willing to live with roommates. You won't be living in luxury, though.

Grad students there went on strike for a higher stipend this fall. They won a $10k increase that brought the base stipend to $35k starting next year. I think departments can augment the base stipend with additional funds, though I don't know how many programs do that.

Claiming NYU. Received an email from department.

Congrats!! Kind of disappointed that I haven't heard from NYU, thought it was a good fit with some strong connections... Probably gonna choose between WashU, Rochester and Emory...

Anything new about the University of Chicago news? I could see only either 3 or 4 posts; regularly checking application portal but still no change there and no email.

It's still 10:12 in Chicago, I expect we'll hear more from them today, but I think it will take a bunch of hours

Hello everyone! Congrats to all and good luck for those waiting. Did anyone hear from Cornell or JHU? I also applied to UPenn but not waiting the results until the end of February.

I emailed to Cornell Political Science Department around January 20th and the staff replied to me that the admission committee was still reviewing the applications and the results would arrive around 3th week of February. This was her answer.
